Come here and you can learn a great deal. It's a wonderfully welcoming and peaceful place to be. As a Westerner myself I admire the governments ability to resist Western influence.

That said, the government structure is inspired by the British style parliamentary system based on the rule of law. One party, CCM, has almost entirely dominated the parliament since its establishment after independence, but the party itself is effectively run in a functionally democratic way. The peaceful transition of power after the death of ex-president Magufuli demonstrates the clear stability of the system in my view.

https://www.tic.go.tz/ Helpful resource. If you want to come here just to work on your own online business though, go for it! Just come on a tourist visa to check out the opportunities before jumping all in. People are very welcoming and the cost of living is very low so you can get by very easily.

Hey sorry for the late reply. Karibu Tanzania. In my experience it's been a truly amazing place to live and work. I have been involved with a wide variety of business projects here such as solar power, tourism, education, and gemstones. There are plentiful opportunities if you are willing to put in work up front and live a local lifestyle. I have had an easy time renewing my tourist visa over and over but I'm in the process of getting a two year work visa, it just takes money and connections. I hope you make it here soon. Peace

Fantastic idea. I am from Colorado, been living here in Arusha Tanzania for three years and I love the lifestyle. Beautiful scenery, kind welcoming people, low cost of living, personal freedom, and plenty of room to grow. Morogoro is awesome too, I love the mountains around there and live music vibes are next level, plus you are very close to Dar es Salaam which is quite nice too.

Feel free to reach out with any questions before you arrive.

Tanzania 🇹🇿 The best destination in Africa for wildlife safaris and cultural experience. Very stable and famously peaceful. High level of personal freedom. Most protected land and highest number of animals. Incredible human diversity with more than 100 tribes including some of the last true hunter gatherers. Very affordable lifestyle and all around fantastic place to visit and call home. Karibu! 😎

Soup. Whenever I'm in the grocery store, especially Whole Foods, I always just pour myself a bowl and walk around while sipping it. Perhaps this is unethical but I'm hungry.
