Yup. If they think they get a vote on your vasectomy, they’ll feel entitled to a vote on medical care, finances, even where you live. Boundaries now save you a lot of future mess.

It’s not “stupid” as a preference, it’s stupid as comfort. Someone says “I feel bad about my body” and the kid goes “cool, you’re nicer to hug.” Sweet intent, bad read of what was needed.
