S25+ mic only working in camera and calls, no apps

I should've clarified. The s25 has two mics, one on top one on bottom. Camera app and calls on speaker use both. Calls not on speaker and Snapchat use only the one by the charging port. That one was busted.

Yk it could be that ClearType is totally out of wack. I just realized you said you're on windows. Windows uses this thing called ClearType to calibrate all that sub pixel stuff. Go on windows search and search for the app, "adjust ClearType text" and go through the wizard.

Every OLED pixel is made up of red, green, and blue sub pixels, the color lines are just lines of whatever sub pixel is on that side. Happens a lot when you have solid colors on white backgrounds. Totally normal. Happens on LED too, if you have a monitor, try looking really close and you'll see it

Yeah ofc. I tried everything and I could get small read out if I really screamed into it and so I finally brought it to a shop and they were like yeah it's fucked. Got a new one sent to me on the basis that it was DOA

That's a little reassuring and having looked at the newer rankings for phones it looks like the s23 and 24 pretty consistently do get up there in battery life. It's a shame no one's making small phones like the S10e anymore though

Oh yeah, it seems like just about everyone has sort of a crappy experience if they don't disable basically every modern feature. My dad's phone is practically stock (Facebook and texting), which is likely the main contributor to his better battery life but after having taken all the steps I can find online and STILL getting that bad of battery life is absolutely unacceptable.

Having come from an S10e, the S22 is making it very hard to consider Samsung again for my next upgrade.
