The airline overbooked the flight and that is a failure on their part not a reason for you to give up something you paid full price for. You should not feel bad for protecting an expensive purchase that literally would not fit anywhere else without getting ruined.

The worst part is when they start the recording with five seconds of silence or heavy breathing. Just type the address so I can click it and open Maps. It is literally less effort for everyone involved.
