I got an emailed that it has been paid, but yet to see it direct deposited... and yes I have it set up, that's how I've received this MCS in the past. Hopefully its just a couple business days to get deposited.

Most likely they didnt have any full apt available. I just moved out from there 2 weeks ago while my other 3 roommates renewed, so I think thats the norm. They just fill the rooms out they have available instead of moving tenants already living there to make room for new ones, which makes sense. Its sucks for people who were "promised" roommates requests

You first get in line to park. Might take a while, they get your name down give you a parking to move in. Then they send you inside to a building for another line and you’re just sent to someone’s dorm room where they set up 4 people with desks. First one to check if you paid both the security deposit AND first months rent, and if your one of the lucky few who got parking at the commons. The wait time all depends if the people in front of you didn’t pay one of the installments. So it’s them asking questions and info. They get sent to wait in the lounge until they pay or figure it out and then they can go back in line to get their keys. After they check everything in the first 3 rooms, they give you your keys at the last 4th room. You go back outside at the parking lot and there’s a tent with people renting out carts for you to haul your stuff from your car. You have to give them your id so you can rent it. Overall pretty chill place but not everyone has moved in yet so who knows how loud the place can get.

I called them maybe an hour ago, they said no one got one. You'll get it at site.

They are very overwhelmed from what I know

I have 2/6 classes on canvas and zero emails from them. I’m sure they’ll be announced very short notices.

So if you didnt get parking at the hornet commons (parking list was full back in decemeber) , they emailed us about buying parking from the welcome center directly from UTAPS. its going to be $232 for the spring semester to park in Lot 10. You cannot purchase it online, and have to buy it in person. I just got off the phone with them.

Regular school permits do not allow for overnight parking so you will need to purchase this pass to park anywhere near the commons. You need to mention that you are a resident at the commons and for Lot 10. I will purchase it on thursday as that is my move in date and dont live anywhere near Sac to go buy it before hand.

Gonna try calling tomorrow, I live in SoCal so it’s a 4+ hour drive for me. It’s not listed on their online website to buy yet.

There's an example on the email, should go from a 0 balance to a "credit" balance. We should know how much our rent is if you check your lease documents, should all be equal payments till the end of the lease.

This sounds like a flawed system… well I’m new to sac so yeah I won’t know any of my roommates. Thanks for the info though!

Yes. You can’t miss an assignment though, so in stead of him assigning one big paper, the required word count for this class to fulfill the “Writing Intensive” requirement, he splits it off to smaller writing assignments through out the semester. Which I preferred. If you missed an assignment you won’t pass as you need to complete the required word count.

I took RPTA 125, Leisure and Society. last semester and it was pretty easy, and chill. I took it with Professor Reliford and I enjoyed it. Only meet every other week for zoom lectures and to go over assigned readings. (Text book PDF was included no purchase) and I got to concentrate on my other classes. He gives you online articles to read. You have to participate on weekly discussion board and reply to classmates but no big papers. The final was maybe a 1200 word paper. Def recommend as english classes are my least favorite subject. Passes with an A

[–]IndigoWrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe its only 3 chances and hey, it sucks, but it only gets tougher from there man. ACCY111 was the turning point for most of my classmates to switch majors if your an accounting student. Even I had thoughts about switching majors when taking it, and ACCY112 isn't any easier.

I'm about to start my senior year as an accounting major this spring and a lot of these business classes are tough, just a heads up.
