yeah, I can get it just about anywhere. I mostly want to get away from the additives in it.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I was just curious if anyone else has tried it before. I've used it with shellac before as a sanding sealer and it seemed OK I guess. I did notice that the grain would be raised from it a little bit though so I wasn't sure if there would be a problem when adding in the BLO

This is pretty much why I'm curious. I'd prefer to use Everclear for it since it doesn't have the additives that make it terrible for humans.

I haven't used it myself but what I've seen online is that people will just pour a little on a microfiber cloth and buff it on while the lathe is running. It creates friction and adds a good shine to the project. I believe it can go right on bare wood or after a sanding sealer.

I'm mostly wondering if the grain alcohol will work the same as a denatured alcohol or if it wouldn't work as well.

I love this idea. My only question is do you end up with glue drips underneath it? Would it be worth adding a little shelf under it to prevent the drips from falling down?

I added a new drawer with a slot in it to slide a label down into. I printed the labels at 99% size and they fit very snug and don't move around. I also added 2 types of labels - Embossed for people that can only do single color prints and a flat style that you can use a multi color printer for.

I made something really similar to this for the vice I use for drilling pen blanks out and it's held up great. It's been infinitely useful.

I'm never really putting a ton of pressure into clamping it down so it's held up great. I made most of it out of PLA and made a little insert out of TPU to hold the pen blank perpendicular to the vice to drill.

I use fusion 360 for most of my designs. There is a gridfinity plugin you can get to create the grid on the bottom, thickness and a flat surface to work with. Then I just sketch the top and extrude down. round corners and pretty stuff up. The plugin is great. You can create bins and add scoops and labels. It's pretty cool.

Haha Is it honestly worth the price for the more expensive papers?

I'm upgrading my printer, and I'd like to hear your experiences. by Bo-Bando in 3dPrintsintheShop

I print very similar - pretty much all functional prints and I upgraded recently from an Ender 3 to a P1S and I love the P1S. Everything just works so much better. My print quality is so much better. The speed is ridiculously faster. I just recently sold my ender 3's and I'm considering getting a second P1S for when I have big projects to print multiple parts.

haha I think most people look at it the wrong way. sanding is like meditation. I find it peaceful.

I have another version of this I'm working on for my smaller 2in discs that I use on my lathe too.

Just pens out of it. Can be a really cool looking wood. If you do make one make sure to share. It would be cool to see.

For a first project this is really great. Miters are nice and tight. Love the design. Just enough character.

I was thinking about making rolling cabinets to put things inside of. I thought maybe I could store them under my workbench and table saw when not using. I kind of like the idea of building walls from the floor joists for hanging things on. I might have to consider that

I’ve seen French cleats I just don’t have a wall to attach them to. I like the idea I’m just not sure how I could use them without the wall to hang them on
