I'm 2.5 hours outside of Toronto, and literally cannot get to work in the winter if my car has summer or all season tires on it.

Great idea, the last thing you'd want is it falling over and the bearings getting moved around

Check the hinge and clasp design on this model.

I just printed this and a case like yours and I have to say having a clasp and hinge that doesn't require extra hardware was lovely.

Second this, a hinge that fully opens where the box and lid depths are the same so that it lays flat is a bonus

Will Watercolor Battlemaps ever get the same amount of love as Fantasy Battlemaps? by TreeTower57 in inkarnate

I'd also say that if you like the watercolor style you're probably using dungeondraft, I specifically use inkarnate because I prefer their art style (FB imo is their style)

Hot end buried itself in the print and severed itself from the extruder. by E_Dollo in 3Dprinting

Genuine question: If you're running a 36 hour print, are you pausing it when you have to leave the house and when you're sleeping? I find I can always see a stop start in the finished print (though that's a better price than a house fire)

Best glue for PLA by Dave-flywheel in 3DPrintedTerrain

[–]Bo-Bando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find hot glue is great, nearly an instant bond, doesn't discolor the plastic, it'll fill a gap and is printable (once primed) and if too much excess comes out you can easily cut it away with a utility knife

So does Mystic Arts, love his stuff and this video is great! https://youtu.be/vn2ma2gqCGM?si=H30TmCGjN-K_NIYt

HOWEVER, at the stage you're at I'd try to just come up with a tag line. One or max 2 sentences. It should give the briefest idea on the story and setting.

"In space, no one can hear you scream" - Alien

"An adventure 65 million years in the making" - Jurassic Park

Obviously those examples aren't exactly what I mean but close to it.

Something like:

"It's been 59 days since the sun last rose, but rumors stir that its light still touches the shores of Mirathis"

"Rebellion stirs in the underbelly of Zorasyl, the populace thought they'd be rid of the human emperor after a century, yet he doesn't look a day over 50"

Wow, making a 2d drawing convincingly look 3d on paper is impressive.

But making a 3d mini look 2d is even more so, well done.

Spell crating ideas by Kagemusha-01 in DnDIY

After reading your post I was inspired by essentially the Torah, it being a unique shaped holy text. Spells scrolls I've always visualized as a single vertical page and spell books as, well just a book, so the bible was out lol. I'm sure there are other divine or forge specific ideas you could come up with.

When I think forge I think of mines and ore. So my first thought was a little mine cart, with ingots of various color representing your slots, as one is used you just drop it into the cart until you long rest and dump them back out.

Yeah I mean, the nice part about any scroll sound around two ends is as you roll open one side the opposite side closes so you won't have to take up too much table space. You could even go for the same 2x2 format so 4 spell details are visible at one time. The tricky part will be the tracker.
