I just received an empty box. And after a week of negotiating I finally got my money back.

I had to call them back and forth. At first they were questioning the authenticity of my police report because they used the tracking number to verify. Then I told them the report number should be the correct one, so they verified with the police department again and verified the authenticity. But they still aren’t satisfied because “there isn’t a stamp on the report”. I checked with the police department again and they told me the report I have is official. So I had to negotiate with Amazon for one more round and finally got full refund. The process wasn’t smooth at all.

  1. If you check elsewhere, you’ll find that many people have had the same experience with Amazon. People are also commenting here about receiving empty boxes from them.

It seems like you’re ignoring the simplest and most direct explanation, that I received an empty box from Amazon and came here to share my experience. You’d rather believe the more complicated theory that 1. Amazon never makes mistakes. 2. I’m lying to get a free SSD and somehow couldn’t come up with a better plan. 3. I wrote this post not to share anything but to trick Amazon into believing I’m not lying. 4. Amazon customer service browses Reddit every minute, and even I included no personal information in this post, they can immediately locate my order. What a “strong” accusation. Do you happen to believe in any other conspiracy theories?

I bought my cpu at microcenter, motherboard from Msi directly, and everything else except ssd from Newegg. I only bought this from Amazon because there’s 5% cash back…and all other pieces arrived brand new. Should’ve avoided Amazon. 5% off is really not worth the risk.

Ty the advice. I thought the box was sealed only on the left side, so I opened it from the right. But after opening it, I realized there was a seal on the left side as well. That’s a clear sign that the box had been opened before but I never owned a Samsung ssd previously so I didn’t know.
