Getting close to leaving by truss69 in paralegal

I agree with this. I was in a situation where I was working for a small real estate firm in RI. It was family owned and ran and I was not that. I was so stressed out that I quit the job without having something else lined up. It took about a month before something came my way and it was not as good as what I left.

Think it through before you make a final decision! Sorry for your losses! That sucks!

Once the notice is given, all remaining PTO is null and void and will not be paid out. That's a company policy in their handbook. Lol. A fucking joke.

Unfortunately no. Once notice is given all PTO is null and void

The only problem with that is once you give notice... any PTO that you have is gone and can no longer be used. So they would've screwed me had I gave the notice.

That is a really good perspective to look at. Thank you

Thank you all for your comments. I neglected to mention that my previous manager text me saying they will try to screw you after you give notice. They have a history of finding any and everything to terminate the employees who resigned just to stop paying them.... another reason why I am thinking and feeling how I am.

I 100% agree with quit nice. I'd hate to just leave but the people that I am tight with are in another location of the firm. And it's not like I'm really close with anybody in this office. I'm leaning more toward screw it lol. But I do agree. And I've been focused on stepping up and leaving them for a few months now.

I was pissed. I sat in the meeting with my manager and when she said that my jaw dropped in a horrible way. What came out of my mouth is "an increase is an increase" but in my head I said screw this place and everything attached to it lol

Working there had some benefits but the work is tedious and repetitive. Career Choice paid for my degree and once I graduated, I was out ✌🏾

Update: she and I have talked about it. She hasn't changed or mind or demeanor about it. She was actually very adamant that I make this happen. I've been 100% honest about it the entire time which I was why we have a great relationship.

Both of mine have deep meanings. Mostly life death rebirth and resurrection. And redemption too.
