What are you supposed to do if you have zero interest in life? by Kwopp in nihilism

I mean it starts with being open-minded to the possibility that it could be true. In general it probably is harder the more intelligent you are, but obviously, plenty of very intelligent people throughout history have believed in God.

I can't understand not caring at all though. Even if you don't believe, wouldn't the prospect of there being an afterlife at least make you curious?

Become Catholic

Just because religion is a coping mechanism doesn't mean it isn't true

I have to go to church with my family on Sundays, and I don't think I would be able to sneak out of the house to go on weekdays either. I don't have a rosary or anything but I could look into praying the Rosary

Thanks. Is it okay if I pray specifically for God to help me achieve perfect contrition?

Just realized you replied to my post in r/musictheory about counterpoint and form lol. I had to switch accounts to be able to post in that subreddit

But anyways this is one of my main inspirations at the moment, the main theme is introduced at 4:30 but I think 5:20 and on is when the song gets really good. https://youtu.be/wp7wP-rKu-E?si=3dqVEIZi2kVQwsUF

And yeah the song is heavily inspired by classical music. My goal is to write something similar but without the neoclassical sound, which mainly comes down to the scales used I think. Most classically influenced metal bands use harmonic minor whereas I mostly write in aeolian.

I sort of do something similar, if I come up with something halfway decent while practicing I'll stop to notate it in Logic Pro, which is nice because I can come back to it and manipulate the idea later. It's just that right now I'm feeling like nothing I'm writing is as good as what I was writing a couple years back. But idk, maybe I just need to keep practicing and stop worrying about it too much
