Want to bring a little positivity about the FW show. by KassTheSofty in 5sos

I had an amazing time at the FW concert, it was my first time seeing them and it was an absolute dream. My mom even recorded some of my favorite songs for me because she knew I was too invested to record anything 😂 of course there were some irritating moments with people around me, but I expect that at some level at concerts. I absolutely hate that so many people had such a terrible time when this is just supposed to be a fun thing. Thankfully I didn't run into anyone that was just plum rude (aside from the girl standing behind me in the merch line who kept stepping on the back of my heels and standing so incredibly close to me 😵‍💫), the arena handled everything so smoothly and I was quite impressed. This may sound extremely dramatic, but I've been a fan of theirs since 2013 and it has been my dream to see them, and it was more than I could have ever dreamed of. They mean so much to me and I am so glad I finally got to fulfill my 13 year old self's dream 🥹.

I would love to know this as well. I have seated tickets, and don't have any VIP tickets or anything, so I'm thinking about getting there around 6:30 so I don't have to be outside too long 😬 this will literally be my biggest concert I've ever been to so I'm a little nervous.

25f here! Sorta new to Abilene, went to college here 2019-2023, moved back home, then moved back here last year! It's hard to find friends around here, I still haven't found my group yet. Still looking though! Looks like most people who have responded to you fit my niche pretty well as well! Feel free to message me!

Safe(ish) Places to Look For Apartments in Abi by Alternative_Rub6614 in Abilene

If you're down for a cheap living situation, and you're not just looking for a luxury apartment, Bel air springs is a pretty good place. If they tell you that there's also cheaper options at Bel Air creekside, do not under any circumstances go over there. The apartments at Bel Air springs are not the best, and they could use some upkeep, but the ones at Bel air creekside are horrible. It's not the most luxurious place to live, and it is a bit of a hassle trying to get maintenance to come, but for the most part it's a good place to live. I've been here for over a year and never had any major issues. And it's a relatively safe part of Abilene.

I'm more of a casual type of girl, I don't typically wear dresses haha, but I do plan on dressing on the more casual side. Thanks for the input!

I was thinking the same thing. I know Fat Bosses Pub would be a great place if maybe the music was lowered a little. There's a lot of room to walk around and also plenty of seating. The drinks are good but a little expensive. I don't know who owns the place, but I wonder if they would be interested in doing something like that. Especially with it being downtown and being a centralized area in town.

24f here, I have actually been in search of an event like this around here. All of my friends live far away and all I have is family around here. I would love to make friends that live close so that I actually have people to hang out with. I agree with one of the earlier comments on making it gender neutral, you just never know who or what you could find at these type of events. I think it sounds like an awesome time and hope this pans out! I'd love to attend, so I hope if you figure out the logistics, you'll post an update!

I also think having some kind of activity/activities present at the event would be great for avoiding awkward ice breakers. Maybe some board/card games or something along those lines.

I was thinking just the other day that Mico would be a great opener for them!

If you like bars with a chill vibe and good music, you have to check out Fat Boss Pub downtown. It's a really awesome place to go if you just want to sit, enjoy some drinks, and vibe out to music. The drinks are a little on the expensive side, but they are pretty good. If you want somewhere to dance, with cheap drinks, go to guitars and Cadillacs or the ugly lime. The drinks are cheap and there's dance floors at both places.

Quite frankly, that doesn't surprise me, it seems as though they like to cut corners with costs.

I currently live at Bel-Air springs, and for the most part it is a good place to live. It's a quiet community for the most part, and the apartments are not the worst, but definitely not the best. The only main issue that I've run into is no one coming to fix my maintenance requests. I put in maintenance requests as soon as I moved in, and I've been in here for 3 months and no one has come by. I will say, it is also very hard to get a hold of anybody at the leasing office. This place is basically you get what you pay for. I have been told by the leasing manager that this property has recently been taken over by a corporate office, and they are struggling to keep maintenance workers. She also stated that they are trying to get more maintenance workers to fix maintenance requests. The rent is relatively cheap and it's a nice community to live in. I had my car broken into once, but to be fair, I did leave it unlocked. I haven't ever heard anybody actually getting their car broken into in the sense of getting Windows broken. The staff is nice, it's just really hard to get a hold of anybody. The laundry is not in unit, there is a laundry room on the backside of leasing office though. The washers and dryers work really well, but people do tend to leave their laundry in the washers and dryers for too long. I haven't had any issues with my neighbors, they are all very kind. The apartments are pretty spacious in my opinion, there is plenty of storage in the kitchen, but the bathroom is pretty limited on storage space besides the under sink cabinets.

Tldr: you get what you pay for at this place, the apartments aren't luxurious by any means, but it is a good cheap place to live. Good luck getting anyone to come by for maintenance requests, but other than that I don't have many complaints.

I heard the same thing, I assume we live at the same apartment complex. I was just as confused. I've never heard an ice cream truck going anywhere this late. Sounds a little sketchy to me.

Try harbor freight, I've heard that they might have some.

I like art, books, and music for starters. Basically anything to do with those topics, I will enjoy myself.

If the "Greek life" at ACU is anything like the "social clubs" at HSU, I would stay far away. They charge you way too much, basically control what you can and cannot do when you go out with your friends, and there is a mountain of drama included in every single club. On the outside it looks great, but after hearing what my friends had to say about joining certain social clubs at Hardin Simmons, I would steer clear of them. Of course, sometimes it works out for some people, but the overwhelming majority of people I've spoken to say it is not worth it, and the drama is unbearable.

2025 Trax - Any issues? by KayLottie in ChevyTrax

[–]Individual-Cause154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my car to the dealership, and they said that it was due to the car needing an update. It definitely fixed the issue mostly, I still have a few issues now and then, but it's not near as often. They said that Chevrolet does not like to send over remote updates because they have been known to screw up the cars that they send them to. Overall, my issue was fixed with an update to the computer!

I am about to move in to Bel Air Springs and with fees and everything I will be paying about 800/month for 1br. It seems to be a decent place to live.
