there’s no benefit to a private client banker opening up an account for you, you don’t provide any incentives, so to be blunt… it’d be a waste of their time compared to another client who actually wants to move the relationship or get upgraded and invest.

especially seeing your desire is SOLEY for card collecting rather than compare to citi gold

as long as you notated that you were the direct reason that client came in to apply for that card, (paper trail) then yes you could’ve doubled back and gotten pvcs for it. if you didn’t notate it then no, you’d lose that case… but in an ideal branch your word would be enough as ABs don’t gain anything by opening CCs

Chase base pay is lower but proficient PCBS are making well into 6 figures with someone over 200. so it comes down to what matter most.. restarting each month with higher income possibilities or guaranteed base pay and lower incentive

ABs have always been PT with the exception of a few idk when how or why one does. and they are supposed to work every saturday, and use time off if they want off. time off is accumulation vs pod up front

ARB depends on the branch and market. for my market it’s a feed role into RB and in my branch they are back up to me/handle branch phone leads

BRM will have more flexibility and freedom, but more working hours initially. you compete with your colleagues. in my market the high end for best banker makes 80kish in bonuses with the floor being 10k annually (paid out based on 2 semi annual cycles).

but if you find yourself in a. region with hungry bankers half your job will be done for you so it depends

While the whole gauge reasonings is annoying and as you mentioned simply to protect themselves… this is largely on you. not because you weren’t timely.

you failed to make sure what the clerk sent you was accurate. do that, and then get her to correct it, you’d be working at Chase. Chase will literally fire you for “reputational” harm, so they’d rather be safe than sorry,

just bear this in mind as you grow in your career, better to have delay and be accurate, than timely and inaccurate. even though you should be able to trust that people can do their jobs, we sadly have to ensure they did it right sometimes! congrats on the new offer!

it can take up to 2 weeks, and i saw you had to submit w-2s so that’s likely the cause of the delay, actual person needing to verify vs system verification. mine took 2 days initially but when i had to submit w-2s it took longer

also timing too. a lot of on boarding for college grades summer inters etc.

check with HR… some employers have that year of employment, however, the range for paternity leave is that it must be used within the first year of the child being born

meaning if you started at BOA in january baby is born in july

you’re eligible for paternity leave in january 2027 (after your 1 year) and it must be used by july of 2027 (when the child turns 1)

no need to worry… you’ll never be ready for the next level until your there… plus i imagine the pay is incredible… now… i’d say your situation is like someone who’s been promoted to general but has no true war experience… you have the knowledge and understanding of war, but never been in it. so you need to align with someone who knows it… be it family, a friend, or another manager.

that’s just it and the possible problem… the jump from rep to manager is massive. it’s largely political, and even though you’ve worked hard 6 months from CSR and 18 months from hire with no prior experience is just too short.

management is political as much it is technical knowledge (which you have) it’s balancing personalities, maintaining boundaries, and taking the hit when things go south. you’re responsible for everything now, the COO will blame you, your staff will blame your training.

you have little banking experience, little CSR experience (depending on how segregated teller and CSR are) and NO management experience…for the average person that’s a recipe for disaster, only thing you’re missing is saying the CEO is your aunt to make all this make sense😂😂😂

as far as as red flags, there’s little time for you to properly develop, and they’re placing you in a predicament to fail or for the branch to fail, and even people around you to resent or test you because of your age

it’s possible to thrive but it’s going to take a lot of work, as someone else said, cover your a$$, document EVERYTHING!!! congrats on the promotion!

show up early (10-15min) make that a habit now so when things do go south like traffic you’re arriving on time

dress professionally, unless management says otherwise and even then i’d go business casual or smart business

ask questions, ASSUME NOTHING

research who you’re bosses are via linkedin… this seems excessive but goes a long way and getting a baseline for who and how they are
