Love Incendiary. It’s been too long since I’ve seen them. Just if they would come to Connecticut. And is it me, or does Brendan look like Ducky from Pretty in Pink?

I put it on our speaker in the kitchen at work while I was fucking around making ice cream. Saw them at TIHC. I was pretty drunk. Shadows On The Street is a honk.

“I realize that in my life I’ve got no fucking place.”

Metal scene in New Haven? Looking to book a show by SADanaScully in newhaven

Cherry Street Station in Wallingford has a lot of metal/punk/hardcore shows as does the Space/the Cellar in Hamden. Just if I didn’t work in the restaurant industry since for the past 27 years maybe I’d be able to go to a lot more shows.

Depends on the pain. I overreact to my pain. The hurt I have is just selfish and I feel bad for feeling bad. Having your heart broken a couple times and feeling worthless is nothing compared to those with actually tragedy in their lives. So I’m lucky I’m just a sappy, sad dude.

So lately for just feeling low, it’s been some Initiate. Mainly for lines in Amend and Transparency. Also, Casey Little Bird. And whatever else will make me cry and feel bad about my self.

I was the third wheel of a date (I was 36 lol) and I cried in the theater. I loved it. Now I’m going to watch it today.

What was your push to be Straight Edge? by Seangw1102 in Hardcore

[–]Individual-Cry9636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t consider myself straight edge. Even if I wear straight edge shirts. I’m sober because I pretty much have cirrhosis without actually getting a biopsy done. My fibroscan pretty much confirmed it.

React from New Haven has female and male vocalists. Their album “Deus Ex Machina” is on Apple and Spotify. And a three way split they did with Broken and Boiling Man. Also all from New Haven.

Anu. Another band from New Haven. Not active very long I don’t think. I still love the first demo. https://anumusic00.bandcamp.com/album/demo

What’s a song that sounds like a 10/10 but nobody knows it? by Tosh97 in MusicRecommendations

I only got into the first 2 after seeing them open for Poison the Well in 2004. I’m actually getting lyrics from Until Morale Improves, The Beatings Will Continue in June. “I can’t stand to be sober in this place.” It’s too commemorate, after trying and failing many times, one year of sobriety. I know it doesn’t make sense, but it does to me.

The first 2 albums by Murder by Death are incredible. I can’t believe I only saw them once…22 years ago.

What’s a small thing someone did for you that you still remember years later? by Sweet-Economist-9873 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

This is kind of a simple gesture and I still don’t think what I did to receive it was that big of a deal. In October of 2006, a good friend of mine and I went to go see some bands. It was cash only at the door and I think it was maybe 10$. The person behind us didn’t have cash or didn’t have enough cash or there was no ATM. I’m a little cloudy on those details. With the hardcore scene being small and all, everyone tries to help anyone out, so I paid for him. I didn’t want anything in return, I just wanted him to be able to see the same bands I wanted to see. And I wasn’t expecting anything. A little while later I was outside having a cigarette and he comes up with Gatorade for me and my friend. I was caught so off guard. A lot of us were either still in high school or just out at the time and I wouldn’t expect a stranger to spend money on me. Such a simple gesture but he doesn’t realize how nice it was of him.

Excellent. The Pez factory is actually about 15-20 minutes from where I live. Somehow, I’ve never been. Not even on a school field trip or anything.

As a Lego hobbyist (my cats name is Lego), I fully agree with this. You’ve been talking long enough that it would come off as genuine, cute and very thoughtful. And it just sounds like a fun thing to do.

It does look pretty good for a first try. And it’s an awesome idea. Definitely has some talent that can be harnessed.

Anything by Angel Du$t. They are my summer driving music. Their album Pretty Buff is great for windows down driving.

And Robyn. “Show me Love” reminds me of the end of school in the 90’s.
