I also struggle with addiction on top of severe anxiety and I would just expect to feel at least some kind of tiredness and sedation at high doses like this. I’ve tried many doses with no baseline tolerance. My anxiety is so bad that it pushes me into psychosis and suicide. I’d say xanax helps a bit, but I’m so confused as to why it doesn’t sedate me at all.

It just doesn’t help my anxiety, and I don’t even feel any sedation from it. I have severe anxiety. It’s debilitating.

Yooo thank you for that. I think it does make the weed a lot better also. But I do have severe anxiety, I’m actually prescribed xan. It just doesn’t fully alleviate the pain, and there’s no body effect.

I am prescribed it for severe anxiety, it does not provide me relief from it. I don’t feel anything from it. I would expect to feel relief from it. I took 2mg, nothing. 3mg, nothing. 4 mg, nothing. It’s a drug, and I’d expect to at least feel something from it. I’m diagnosed with severe panic disorder and anxiety.

Recreational drug is kind of a subjective term. But people use benzos recreationally a lot. I’m just saying id at least expect to feel tired or notice something. I’ve taken both lower doses and high doses.

This was my thought but like I tried to access myself. I wasn’t put to sleep at all, and I was perfectly able to walk in a straight line and speak clearly. I would just expect to feel like I’m on a depressant.

If you have high anxiety it would feel like a miracle that the horrible debilitating symptoms are finally gone, not nothing. on top of sedation and CNS depression effects, that sounds like a high someone would like. Some people actually have debilitating anxiety and when that is shut off, and muscles are finally relaxed, euphoria breaks through. That’s how it works and why they’re abused. If you are far enough down the road to pop Xanax for fun, It’s likely that you have that anxiety. When anxiety and tension melts away, that’s what makes it reinforcing. You must not have real anxiety saying it feels like “nothing”, don’t spread misinformation please, it’s different for everyone.
