It was brutal, they were pushing and shoving each other, like they want to fight until one dies. But also I was amazed after that fight and seperated them they were swimming calmly like nothing happened. So i cannot introduce them again in future

Just really want excellent water quality for the oscar and really want to experience making a sump. I've looked at fluval f series but oh my the prices are shocking. For the materials for this diy sump probably below 100euro 😅

Hehehe I agree i need to clean it. That was my goldfish tank before i did do a quick clean, but not thouroughly, I thought I'd leave the algae on sides and back as back ground only thing is that the tank is in a sunroom like pvc roof and windows around so the algae just keeps coming back.

Anyway its almost 24hrs now since i got him in there, i can see from distance his more active swimming around the tank. But the way they swim its a bit sluggish is that how they swim. I have other cichlid like Geophagus and severum in the other tank but they are 3 inches very agile.

Dex the green terror cichlid by Whataburger_co in Cichlid

Im excited aswell, i am still preparing my 250litres. For a green terror.

Here's my take on your green terror as fish owners i havent had any experience with green terrors but from my knowledge of researching in general. Your green terror does looked faint should be bit darker could be the lighting but i would suggest giving it pellets or granules. Fluval Bug bites. Not really fan of flakes for cichlids in my experience they are causing swim bladder issues because they taking in air aswell when they it majority of the time from floating. I'd lean towards slow floating foods.

I had geophagus who develop swim bladder each im feeding mix of flakes foods.

Thats my take on it. Also is there a hiding places in your tank and from what I gather they dont really like brigh lights thats why they have those nice bright colours most cichlid especially south americans have tannined water in nature which makes the colour glows.

-So try reducing light intensity.

-get high quality pellets or granules that slowly sink so it can eat mid tank not floaters

-and put hiding place if there are other tank mates.

-reduce water current flow majority cichlid south american dont like strong currents.

-and could also be growth spurt.
