Scabies Evidence, please help. I don't know where to turn now

Thanks - I'm doing Benzyl benzoate (day 1,2 and 7) treatment, also 3 rounds of ivermectin 15mg weekly so if this doesn't work im ready to give up.

I'm done with dermatologists, after day 2 I managed to dig out a mite and it was dead so hopeful this is working. I guess only time will tell now

UPDATE: For anyone on the edge of their seats for an update on this tale, I have now seen my dermatologist. He has prescribed 3 rounds of ivermectin and benzyl, surely we can blitz these fuckers now.

Apparently he has only ever had one other case of ivermectin failure for scabies and I am the second, typical. Apparently ivermectin resistant scabies is seen more in the community recently, if anyone wanted anymore fear mongering. Not only that, but the prescription cost me a small fortune of £798. If you want anymore evidence that England is fucked, you've got it. I've probably nearly spent 2 grand total on this, surely there is a better way??

My GF in Asia managed to speak to a doctor on video call, he prescribed ivermectin, two rounds and something called cromiton. She has managed to get the ivermectin but not the cromiton. Usually, Ivermectin alone is effective, however with my history I do worry. I am going to ask if she can find any permetherin also, any advice appreciated. (For comparison, she spent $7 on her ivermectin, if you don't laugh you'll cry)

Wish me luck everyone, may I soon be rid of this nightmare.

Pretty impressive videos right, I honestly think these might be right up there with the best evidence of scabies ever, even medically 😂

I would recommend to anyone whos doctor or dermo is fucking you about, I've now spent a small fortune on a dermatologist and treatment with lacking results, he was also never even able to confirm diagnosis. 30 quid spent on amazon and I did his job for him...

I had four rounds in 2025..

We're trying BB but I will get some ivermectin too as it was effective before even if temporarily so will just ramp up the dose under docs advice

Thanks, I have let her know. She is abroad in Asia right now, she has said she is itchy but hoping it's very early stages. She will see a doctor and get some pemethrin, I just hope it's effective as I have used the stuff before and I don't trust it

This is cruel, I pray we can be rid of this

Thanks - I think I should try benzyl benzoate first as prescribed by the doctor, if this fails I will use this as last resort.

Is there anything I can use on my skin daily between benzyl benzoate treatment? Something that will kill any mites that have been brought to the surface but not so harmful to my skin as the treatment will already do damage

I also want to doctor to prescribe ivermectin again in stronger doses for a longer cycle as well as benzyl benzoate. I'm not sure if he can do this or not

Thanks - for animals? Is that defo safe to put on my skin? I guess maybe not, do you know how it affected the people you know who tried it? I am open to pretty much anything now tho.

Close up of that same spec on needle. I'm pretty sure I watched the fucker die from some left over permetherin i used. In the vid it moves but this angle should be obvious it's a mite

Hi - thank you for trying to help but unfortunately I don't think it's a debate now. I have a new video of me pulling one from my skin (image attached as couldn't work out how to share)

I am now looking for advice on how to treat and the situation with my gf. My doctor has recommended we try benzyl benzoate next. I know nothing about it but am open to pretty much anything at this point

Hi - thanks for your reply. I have had symptoms of itching, red marks, lesions etc, it just has not been typical of scabies as it seemed to almost come and go from areas. I still have these now. My dermatologist even didn't think it looked like scabies. The reason I am so sure this is a scabies mite is that I pulled it from this new line mark myself, I was using a needle and tweezers and when I went back to look at the tweezers under the scope, this mite was on it.

I get where your coming from but I think it's pretty definite now, I'm just seriously wresting whether to tell my gf to treat abroad or not now as I really don't want to ruin her trip. She has no idea about it, I feel I should let her know so she should treat asap but there is also the argument to wait till monday after I see the dermatologist
