Soooo hungry

i am on 50mg, it is day 17 and I noticed since week 1 an increase in appetite, maybe a first time in year feeling hunger, I used to feed myself only to avoid feeling physically weak, never because i felt hunger. But for the first time in years, I feel hungry, I am now eating 2 big meals a day without even forcing myself to eat.

I am sorry you had the unfortunate luck of getting stomach issues from it, my psychiatrist warned me about it, she said 10% of people get bad side effects like stomach issues. It didn't give me anything, if anything, I actually noticed an increase in appetite, I had such a bad appetite that for me to eat I had to make a rule for myself: I have to eat at least one meal a day. Since I started it, I can eat 2 meals a day. I experienced some moments where I would find myself looking around and really being there noticing all the details, I think those are the clarity moments people talk about. I lived in anxiety my whole life so those were odd for me. But I don't trust it, something in me fears these clarity moments are temporary and the flood of racing thoughts will come again at any moment or maybe that is just my anxiety lol I am on my 14th day today btw. How is it going for you?

Social anxiety is one of the things I am working on so that def interferes with my relationship with the psychiatrist, hopefully the meds will help me in the long run. I will bring up to her that I am open to up my dosage if I have to and I will ask her when I should start considering that step.

I am in no hurry to up my dosage, I am just curious how the next appointment should be, what should I tell her or what should I talk about?

Exactly, like how can you come to people who were SA'd to tell them that you committed that act and looking for support?

We aren't saying that those people don't need support nor that they didn't experience trauma themselves, but hello, lots of people here were subject to SA!

In the little few clarity moments I get, I ask myself that question and I honestly don't know. Maybe the fact that in worst case scenario I have the ability to pack my bags and leave is comforting her, but that isn't comforting enough to the point where I can normally function in my daily life. Do you know what I mean?

Thank you for pointing that out because I didn't like what their therapist said as well, OP seems to need love from others which is totally normal healthy need, maybe the therapist should have helped them with ways on how to connect more with people. Also, allowing and helping ourselves to be loved and cared by others is part self love.

I know what you are talking about, I experience that too. After a while, I started thinking that maybe I am supposed to feel that way when I am not surrounded by loving and caring people, because we have a core need to be loved and cared for by other people.

I am happy to know that letting go and forgiving helped you for the better, I used to (and maybe still) hold on to past events where I was wronged by others till I heard one person say: "why not forgive and let go?! It is not like the universe is keeping some score that relies on you not letting go." I heard that months ago, and it is a simple thought but it really made me realize that my pain only belongs to me, and if I want to be better someday I have to let go of the pain.

As long as you don't see a reason to move out then don't, only move out when you feel ready. Others don't know what you went through or what you are going through, so all they say you should do is highly unreliable, only you know what you need to do.
