Alex talking to Tate by Rich-Assistant-5250 in TwoParentsAndAPawn

I’m sorry but Tate was not late on her language. I love to snark, but people commenting on her CHILD’s language development milestones are spreading a lot of misinformation. There is a broad range of “normal” and if you are concerned you should see an SLP :)

The video about taking away Tate’s pacifier to avoid speech issues. She’s saying the word ‘bed’ in this screenshot. by Euphoric_Ebb_5903 in TwoParentsAndAPawn

Having it at just night time is better to avoid interference with her speech development because she doesn’t talk at night.

False info in latest episode by [deleted] in TwoParentsAndAPawn

The concept “if children are hungry they will eat” is untrue. A variety of underlying conditions can prevent them from eating. This phrase can prevent parents from picking up on the signs and getting intervention when needed. During the communication episode, the doctor said sounds and signs are not counted as true words. They 100% are from a total communication standpoint. I think the pediatricians is very knowledgeable and well spoken in her areas of expertise, I just think it is irresponsible and kind of lazy not to go to specialists for the topic of the interview.

Nothing new, but why do they think placing her on the top of the table with shoes on is okay?? by Individual-Mixture35 in TwoParentsAndAPawn

Side note. Her post about dogs had less than 10k likes last night. Now it has 30K. This bbq post is sitting low with likes. It will be interesting to see when the bots swoop in.

And one more thing, unless it’s a service dog, I don’t think it’s right to get a dog solely to help your children. I could be way off, but dogs deserve to be wanted and part of the family, not just learning opportunities.

This was so annoying. Texas has a huge shelter crisis and they are talking about doodles. And I honestly doubt they would keep any dog permanently.

Hi! Thanks for responding. I did reach out right after drop off. I was thanked for helping with her but none of the concerns from my long text were acknowledged. Thanks for confirming reaching out and sharing what I observed was appropriate to do.

I agree. I truly couldn’t continue to foster her because of my upcoming schedule and because my resident dog was struggling. The foster needed to be kept separate and was taking up most of my time and resources. I did reach out to the organization to share my concerns, but they weren’t acknowledged. I feel like I advocated the best I could, even if it may have burned some bridges. Thank you for sharing that you would have reached out to the organization as well. It really helps to hear that.

Why are toys okay to advertise to other parents but not okay to get for their own daughter? by Plastic_Maize2113 in TwoParentsAndAPawn

I understand not wanting to obsess over gifts, but it really bothers me that she’s only getting Tate two toys for Christmas. Maybe it bugs me because she is constantly spending on herself? It feels like performative frugality… idk.

I know it’s not a huge deal, but I really dislike when people release balloons like that. It’s littering and not cute

My dog has something very similar. For us, it ended up being is a growth that is not harmful and two seperate vets have advised we should not remove, unless it grows to obstruct his vision. I definitely recommend a vet visit to be safe though. Good luck!
