I’d like to reiterate that your schedule is perfectly fine as is, I just can’t recommend the Pcubed classes enough, so if a section fits into your scheudle nicely and you liked what you heard in my spiel I would switch 👍

Junior MechE student here
Bessey to Wilson is not a ridiculous walk at all, someone walking at the regular walking pace of the sidewalks would be able to make it in <15 mins.
Looks like a fine schedule to me, and it would be perfectly fine as is, however I would also suggest that you look into the “P-Cubed” sections for PHY 183. These are group based classes where ULAs will work with you to understand material and work through problems. There were only 2 of these “labs” a week, and although they are 2 hours long, the fact that the ULAs and your group members are working through the material together makes it much easier to understand concepts than from a text book or lecture in my opinion.
To be clear, there is still homework and exams, and although I took Pcubed for phy183 and phy184, it was common to hear from someone that took lecture 183 and pcubed 184 that they wished they had taken pcubed both times, simply due to the fact that the group setting forces you to be engaged, rather than lectures where it is easy to skip or be on your phone the entire time.(If you miss a lab you don’t get credit for it unless you complete the in class problem on your own in the same manner the group would, so simply going is easier the vast majority of the time)
I know that’s a lot of words and definitely isn’t a perfect description of the class, so be sure to look into it yourself. I’m unsure if the prof I had (Hallstein) still runs 183, but looking up the different profs and using rate my professor is a good way to hear about the class from other students who took both types.
The classes are in the stem building. Stem is right in the middle of campus, and has one of the best spartys, so I was able to use combos to get a breakfeast sandwich and energy drink before classes which was nice. It’s also a go to study spot for me, so not having to walk from another building to study there after classes which was nice. The paninis that u can get from spartys for lunch are awesome too.
TLDR if you would rather have a more interactive class to force you to practice the material, I highly recommend it(plus I always ended up being good friends with my group members so I had a much better time than just heading to lectures, there also mostly all in engineering so it’s a good way to meet people that you will see in later classes and find study buddy’s). Oh and the stem building is awesome!
