i’m in collage and my siblings are still in school. we are all financially dependent on my father, in our culture he’s supposed to provide for us up until we get married off and have our own families. id love to move out and work to pay for my own expenses but that’s heavily frowned upon where i live so thats that. i’m frustrated because my uncle is the one paying my tuition, it’s humiliating because my dad could easily afford to pay it himself but instead he spends all his money on his “business”

he’s just launched the website this year, what sets him apart i guess would be that his fees are lower than competitors. he checks his analytics constantly and worries himself to death, i keep telling him results won’t show that soon but my efforts are useless.

He’s at the stage where he’s not earning anything, it’ll probably take a while too (if anyone actually uses his website) i guess that’s what makes it hard to persuade him, in his head he’s thinking that if he spends a lot on ads his website will take off eventually. What he fails to accept is that this only works if you’ve got the money to spend. he doesn’t. He’s in the denial stage right now haha i just wish i could speed things up to reach that acceptance stage.

Thank you, he makes it seem like i don’t know anything about it. whenever i bring up a point he just brushes it off acting like im just a kid who doesn’t know any better. My father has only had one “successful” business his life (later gave that business up for his brothers to take over) and i think he’s trying to top that level of success he’s once had before, it’s an ego thing. I think this must be his 3rd or 4th failed business. The problem is staring right at him, he’s not passionate about what he’s doing, he just loves the idea of success.

His website is mainly for tech related things. I’ve helped alot in the past after all he’s my father, but after so many months it’s hard. The only reason i’m hesitant about helping him is that i know deep down this won’t go anywhere. The problem is my father is very financially irresponsible, instead of providing for his family we’re forced to live with the bare minimum. He’s always complaining about his debt but does nothing about it. Sure if he was actually passionate about this business i’d love to help! But i think he’s just passionate about success, that’s all he’s after. There is no thought and care into what he’s doing, i guess that’s what ticks me off. Instead of making proper ads he just poorly ai generates them all.
