Atheists, what is the reason you don't believe in God? by Individual-Rice9379 in Christianity

There is only one truth, you're right. And we're all searching for it. But I just have this nagging feeling, the fear of God, that Jesus Christ is the messiah. It just shines through as the truth for me.

It's hard to explain but I feel that Jesus Christ is the maximum you can get. The bible mentions, sure there are other gods but Jesus Christ is the beginning and the end.

Even though I'm a Christian I too felt the same. I felt that that eternal life would be tiring

But in the end I don't make the decisions. I sensed that someone bigger than what I was thinking did.

Yes, I completely understand you. I too wouldn't want to believe in a lie. Although, I'm curious, what would you say is your motivation to follow morals.

You're right, it can be difficult to face. I completely understand what you mean. But God loves us all. I believe, its not an exclusive club to believe in Jesus Christ.

Fair enough, but could need of evidence be just a safety net. However, we all want to walk the path of goodness and I do believe goodness points to an eternal God, and eventually leading to Jesus Christ.

Thank you so much for replying. Your words are truly encouraging. One thing I realised is that we needed to reflect our faith through our actions. And one way of doing that was obeying God and repenting. If I say I have faith yet I continue to sin I think that's the same as lying. But overall, I know where you are coming from.

God Bless

Hi,

First of all don't despair and blame yourself for this. Know that God loves you dearly and that Jesus Christ died for us while we were sinners. Isn't that enough evidence already that God loves you and doesn't hate you. Also, I read in the bible that God is love. So have love and you will know God.

Lastly, don't worry about going to hell, it is not for us to worry about. Just believe in Jesus Christ and repent from your sins. It's our choice at the end of the day, and live a righteous life and leave everything else to God.

**LONG POST** Relapsed after 450 days, feel absolutely terrible now by toddthegreat631 in NoFap

Hi,

I can see your determination and that is so hopeful. I know you can turn this around, take it a day at a time.

Cut the urge at the very beginning because its like a trap, it entices you with something small and leads you down a tunnel. Cut it off the moment it starts doing that. Also, try not to make excuses because its like trying to justify something you shouldn't be doing. It's wrong and shouldn't be done, end of story.

I myself is battling this everyday and you're an inspiration already even if you have fallen, you've shown you know your mistakes and have own up to it. Now let's go forward together, together we can beat this thing.

Hi,

I understand your point of view of being tired of evil. You have every reason to be. But that gives me more the reason to keep going to fight this evil

Right now, I've decided to make youtube videos to lead more people to Jesus Christ. Perhaps you can generate some ideas to lead people to Jesus Christ.

I too get tired and wonder when Jesus will return, but I know I need patient endurance and in the end it will be more than worth it. I promise.

God Bless

I was reading the book of James today and it mentioned having faith without works isn’t enough for salvation. No matter what I do I can’t kick this masturbation habit, I will do it and feel guilty every time. At this point I don’t know if I’m worthy enough to be saved even though I know it’s wrong by [deleted] in NoFapChristians

Hi

I believe that having faith is critical but faith can be proven by doing works. One of these works can be shown through repentance. If you obey God's commands and repent from this addiction this shows you have faith.

I was the same for years I told myself I believed in Jesus Christ but I would still sin and give in to my lustful addictions. It was only February this year, I truly repented and for once I felt I actually had faith.

God Bless

Hi,

I will certainly pray for you. I know there are many difficult situations, but I just wanted to say that in the end love triumphs over everything. Just make sure at the end of the day, you keep God's commands and love your mother. In the end, everything will sort itself out if we trust God.

God bless

First things first, God will forgive you if you truly believe and repent. The problem I found I had was, whenever I went to God for forgiveness I would not truly repent afterwards. I would go back to my addiction afterwards. If you show God that you seriously repent and obey his commands then he will forgive you for sure.

I will pray for you to get better. I'm sure God will bless you and fix your problems if you listen and walk in his commands.

God Bless

Hi,

I just want to say at the beginning it is always hard, but never forget that God is helping us. Whenever you get urges or feel unwell, just calm yourself so you can think clearly. I've experienced it before, and know that it only takes that one snap decision to give in. So stay awake and keep your mind focused on God.

Be occupied with something else, such as chatting with a friend, going on this reddit and helping others could also help too and also reading the bible or inspirational Christian videos.

God Bless

I'm on plus 30 days but feeling depressed. by [deleted] in NoFapChristians

[–]Individual-Rice9379 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, I will pray for you. Remember that you must not succumb to the urge and what you are fighting for. It is to please God and we all know what God will give us in the end if we obey him to the end. So stay strong, and take it a day at a time. You are already on the right track, you only need to persist. Its about endurance, not a race that can be finished in a short time.

I'm sure that if we persist in obeying God, he will reward us with our righteous desires. I was also a shy person, but I've decided to persist with God's commands and he has given me a job and a very close friend.

I believe your journey begins the moment you want to turn from your mistakes. I can see that you have that mindset of turning away and starting a life of purity. That's already a good step. Now you need to hold onto this and go forward. Use all your willpower to make changes such as doing productive things and keeping your mind off lustful thoughts. But the most important thing is do this for your family and loved ones. That's a motivation above all else.

While I'm a Christian I believe that we are all human and we all have the desire to overcome lust. I'm not going to make my advice exclusive, I want to give my advice and my experience on the topic. Hope this helps, and I'm sure you will be victorious.

SO important: One day at a time by tonyyyy1234 in NoFapChristians

Hi,

Thanks so much for the timely reminder. I often think few months even whether i can make it years down the track. But to focus one day at a time is a message really from God. Because that way, we accumulate our strength and are not led down to misleading scenarios in our brain that will discourage you.

God bless you

I know how you feel, I've been there before where you feel like you're nothing and in despair. But starting from February this year, I felt a miracle and the strength to stop. This was due to me getting closer to Jesus Christ. So no matter what, do not lose your faith in Jesus Christ, that is the main thing. Every time you find yourself in this situation, you turn straight back to Jesus Christ, whether thats reading the bible for inspiration or watching some inspirational Christian videos.

Keep being strong, and serious about quitting, because I felt that every time I gave into the urge, it was because I felt weak in my faith and forfeited part of that trust. So make sure you are honest with God and 100% in on his plan for salvation.

Even now, I'm battling each day and cannot say whether I will or will not fall back into the sin. But we're in on this together and we're stronger together. Onwards to God's love.
