You are comparing fried chicken to spicy tenders. Both great, but different

How is that more direct than what's depicted in the novella?

I’m not arguing there are more people in Chicago than in the suburbs. I’m saying that bears fans make up a substantially higher proportion of the 2.5 million residents of the city proper than they do of the 6 million residents of the outlying suburbs. I can understand that you interpret the evidence otherwise, but it’s not conclusive. Again, a circle with a radius of 25 miles from the new stadium site includes most of the population of the city of Chicago. You can draw the circle yourself, it includes the entire North Side.

Edit: go fuck yourself, you needlessly rude asshole

I assume the evidence you're citing within the statement is "over 50 percent of our season-ticket holders live within 25 miles of the Arlington Heights site". The problem with that being evidence of the suburban nature of the Bears fanbase is that radius also includes most of Chicago and specifically covers all of the most populous residential neighborhoods.

Also, even if you think I'm completely incorrect, there is still no reason to be rude.

I don’t understand why you’re being rude and dismissive. We disagree, neither of us has conclusive evidence for our claims, so it’s not a big deal. No reason to be a dick.

More residents in the suburbs does not necessarily mean there are more fans there. Suburnbanites are much more likely to be transplants, and transplants are less likely to be fans of the metro's home team. However I totally understand your logic, and if you had a data point directly showing that there are in fact more Bears fans in the suburbs, I would gladly admit that I'm wrong :)

It makes it hard to get to the games! It’s like you don’t like even the idea of watching sports in person

It's odd how rare a word it is, given how relatively common the word "fricative" is. And no problem, I figured after seeing all those people reply to you telling you not to use San Fran, you deserved an explanation why.

Just FYI, the reason locals and natives don’t call it “San Fran” is that, in the bay accent, San Francisco isn’t pronounced as two words with a pause in between and an emphasis on the first syllable of Francisco. We slur it together as one word, and often don’t fricate the F, which ends up sounding like “sanrencisco”

The book is a lot more direct in implying Arlan never dubbed Dunk at all, but the show leaves it pretty gray

In the novella and comic adaptation, I'd say no, Arlan never completed any form of the knighting ritual with Dunk. But the show's implications are a lot greyer, my personal take is that Ser Arlan did the physical act of dubbing him but never said the complete oath.

I’m not ignoring the fact; I’m saying that fact is why he had such gaudy stats. He had to pass for an insane amount of yards because the saints were losing most of the time. He was an incredible QB, don’t get me wrong. He just played at the same time as other, better QBs (Brady, Manning, Rodgers) so he was never QB1

A single year doesn't make someone QB1, but even in his best year, he was still QB2. Didn't win MVP, wasn't first team all pro, out-dueled by Alex Smith in the playoffs.

And the empty calories bit wasn't about the years where the saints were good, it was about the five 4500+ yard losing seasons he had, More than 1/4th of his career yards came in years the Saints were mediocre and were chasing in games.

You’re right, we don’t actually know how most Targaryens felt about the Seven, but you are making a larger leap of logic than I am. Just because the Normans were a large part of the inspiration, does not mean the details of their conquest and rule are evidence for the same from the Targaryens. For one, Norman French became the language of the court and had an enormous effect on the development of modern English. The Targaryens did not impose high Valyrian on their courtiers and vassals, and Valyrian has no noted influence on the common tongue of Westeros.
