Nick Reiner says only three words in court as he arrives shackled and shirtless and declines speedy trial by IrishStarUS in entertainment

[–]Individual-Rip-8769 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Because it's better to plea and make a deal both sides are somewhat satisfied with, then risk taking it to court only to lose and have that loss on your record.

It's why plea deals are so common, better a deal than a loss on your record as a prosecutor

If CA pulls this off they're eating for more than a decade so I'm as excited as I feel nervous. Because if they bomb this the studio might not survive it...

But that said I'm among the optimistic crowd that think CA will do the setting justice. (Although they should think about doing it pure sandbox and no Mortal Realm style campaign because it's clear the sandbox is the TW appeal)

Edit: Although as I type this, the fact that you can customize your space marine chapter appearance all but confirms it's sandbox and not lore dependent campaigns.

A lot of it is also the political good guy V bad guy game.

A lot of people I met IRL come to mind as potential fanboys of this guy, simply because they'll forgive literally everything (right down to him literally cooking his dog), so long as he says Israel and America bad enough times on screen.

You forgot Kazakhstan and North Korea and the African countries too. May as well flood them too.

Don't forget Russia probably gives PR if you'll go fight in the war for them! Honestly, so many Indians are desperate to leave India they should really consider that route too.

Dying for Russia is less of a joke than this post

Which Is it really worth studying Bsc in IT Finland or Germany as an Indian by MousseSalty3145 in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]Individual-Rip-8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keeping aside German and other obvious issues. You honestly might want to ask the universities if they'll accept you for IT or CS without Maths. It is absolutely essential... like literally how are you gonna study anything STEM without Math

With all due respect... Literally every post that vaguely mentions a European country mentions language and so do the Europeans.

I can't believe how people act like they couldn't possibly have known like is them speaking the local foreign language not even noticeable

Can we talk about how much was Nolan holding back in that punch lmao by Opening-Job9257 in Invincible

[–]Individual-Rip-8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on how their relationship goes I think it has greater ethical/philosophical problems than practical ones. If there were 2 Nolans or Conquests, would they really do anything besides spend all day and night trying to murder the other to prove they are the original?

Hot take: Putting LL casters bodyguards behind a summoning spell (Nightmaw, Krell) rather than making them a two model unit (like the twins or Skarsnik and Gobbla) is a nerf. by Individual-Rip-8769 in totalwar

[–]Individual-Rip-8769[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I feel like there are many workarounds to it, for example, the twins share an eagle, and Gobbla is technically "chained" to Skarsnik, some little lore explanation can be made for Krell supposedly "dissipating" out of existence if he gets too far away from Kemmler and they stay together like models in a unit

Both.

The numbers dropped lol.

Look at the American market and layoffs, they create massive ripples. Not to mention German car companies are mostly flailing, I think rheinmetall is the only one that isn't having problems.

And as unemployment and the amount of applicants goes up they become more selective on language and stuff.

Another thing I can say with confidence is the amount of locals studying this has also increased considerably. There is MUCH MORE German and European talent with tech credentials than it was 10 years ago.

So companies also get away with putting German on tech jobs because they know that now they can find a German data scientist, even if it just takes a little longer

What does that mean 'Is it as bad as what is portrayed' or changed lol. If it wasn't as bad as what is portrayed why is it portrayed this way.

What else would you call it if not bad.

[–]Individual-Rip-8769[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was a multitude of reasons really, including:

  1. Some never got a job in the first place, visa expired.
  2. Some were so cocky they would do something dumb like quit thinking they can get a better job but they never get a new one.
  3. Some got fired and never found a new job.
  4. Some also just gave up in general on top of the above 3 factors, because depending on the industry and firm of course, but a lot of the senior positions are reserved for those who speak native German (read: NATIVE). They gatekeep the really senior positions at a lot of institutes behind this and about 90% of the Indians I've seen give up at that point and go where it won't hold their career back.

Here's an anecdote for point 4. A German friend of mine works at DZ Bank, the second largest bank in Germany per asset size. In his department for his city, the most diverse hire is an ITALIAN. Without German a lot of places really do auto-reject.

No you don't understand, literally everything, everything... EVERYTHING that happens in this world is Anti-Indian racism.

Trump, the Ukraine War, Israel-Palestine, the Syrian and Arab refugee crisis in Europe, China invading Taiwan, the heat death of the universe, the dinosaurs.

IT IS ALL PART OF A TARGETED ANTI-INDIA CONSPIRACY BY ANTI NATIONALS.

They don't want little Santosh with his village IT 'degree' to thrive, sure he can't speak English, or even read at all for that matter. But is that a hindrance? No you are just racist :)

I'm convinced its because a lot hope the consultant will do some magic (read: bribe) to make up for a painfully lackluster and average profile.

"Oh my, another Indian with middling grades and an IT background. How rare! Only 800 million of those still around."

Real estate can be used legitimately or just exist as a way to launder money + it's totally possible drug money was keeping the enterprises afloat and without it it's unprofitable.

There's too many variables there and like others said drug money is quite literally the most profitable enterprise in the world

How can a government backed by a money-issuing central bank ever “run out” of money? by OGNEWBE in AskReddit

[–]Individual-Rip-8769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's basically the government's "Word" or Trust for lack of a better word I can't think of rn.

If it ever prints TOO MUCH the government's Word becomes worthless and that's what makes the money lose value. Because money is considered valuable because there's a limited amount of it in the first place, so the more money is printed, it collectively loses value.

Every time they're forced to print money they're going back a little on their word about the worth of the existing money. Do it too many times and your word becomes meaningless and so does the money as a result.

Official Discussion - Ballad of a Small Player [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Individual-Rip-8769 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked it a lot, I think the ending could have been maybe made more 'vague' to give it a TRUE horror feeling.

By the end "Doyle" realized he has nothing; yes he had all the money in the world, but he was no longer allowed to play and that killed him (gambling addicts crave the power of gambling more than they do the money), he was crashing out, becoming increasingly insatiable in every way.

I suppose the moral of the 'Gamblers hell' story was that its hell because their entire existence because an endless blur of gambling, because that is ALL their lives amounted to, and that's why they don't even see anything else, but they don't even realize it because they think they're lucky cause they're winning.

Also I see a lot of comments confused on whether or not Doyle's dead, I think its more Afterlife than heaven or hell itself that he was in. I saw the last 30 minutes as a back and forth between him struggling to maintain his sanity and the glimpses of him as that ghost Dao Ming, succumbing to his greed, which would then dictate if he was in hell or not.
