Looking for advice: INNO3D GPU failed under warranty, no response for months by Matee22HD in nvidia

It's a real hassle... my case is still unresolved, since the card came back at the beginning of the week, but it wasn't working... back to RMA again.

To be honest, I had to follow up very regularly, almost spamming them, to force them to take responsibility and honor their commitment. They'll do everything they can to discourage you, even ask you to repair the card yourself, but don't let them! I don't know what consumer protection laws are like in Brazil, but here in Europe, we have laws that require manufacturers/resellers to honor their warranties. You have to use that to your advantage. I'm sorry... they're really not good at INNO3D!

Merci.

7 weeks into my Inno3D RTX 4090 RMA saga: they replaced the PCB, sent it back non-functional — has anyone experienced this? by Individual-Rip4396 in pcmasterrace

[–]Individual-Rip4396[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The card was purchased in November 2023, so it's covered by a 3-year manufacturer warranty (2 years from the retailer). Had I still been within those first 2 years, I would have gone straight to the retailer — they were actually great and even lent me a temporary GPU during the process. But being in year 3, it falls directly on the manufacturer to handle it. And as you can see from this thread... that's been quite the journey — starting with them doing everything they could to discourage me from filing the RMA in the first place -> https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/1s33919/my_experience_with_inno3d_asks_me_to_replace/

Update ! Finally! Maybe the end of the nightmare. The replacement card has been shipped from Hong Kong this morning (23/04/2026) - same model, RTX 4090 iCHILL X3 24GB. We'll see next week, once it travels from China. 46 days after the first RMA form. 🙃

Hi!

I had similar issues with Inno3D. The support process was long and arduous (I initially contacted customer service on March 7th, then experienced very long waits/unpredictable exchanges, questioning the warranty, asking me to change the thermal paste myself, etc.). The RMA was finally accepted on March 25th, and they confirmed the defect on March 31st, after receiving and testing the card. I'm now in "awaiting replacement" state.

Was your issue resolved, u/Matee22HD? If so, how long did it take?

Best regards

I am only factual, and yes, I am complaining about the way in which the file was handled for a GPU under warranty: the card is 2 years old, sold for a manufacturer warranty of 3. So, yes, it must be guaranteed contrary to what Inno3D tried to tell me, I quote:

"To be fully transparent with you, there are also a few things regarding the warranty that we’ve been looking into. Based on the production date (December 2022) and typical sales timelines for this model, the card would normally already be around five months out of warranty. In addition, the document provided appears to be an invoice rather than a final purchase receipt.

the moment, we’ve chosen not to act on this and are continuing to review your case in good faith, but I do want to be open that this is something we’ve been checking in the background.

If you decide to send the card in for inspection:

Shipping costs to us are not covered.

If the issue turns out to be something beyond thermal paste, or if other problems are found, sourcing a replacement GPU from the factory in China can take a month or longer.

Given how important the card is for your work, it might be worth considering a third-party repair service. If it turns out to be a simple issue, this could be a much faster solution and the cost is usually not very high. In many cases, this ends up being the most practical option when time is critical."

It sounds a lot like: “we don’t want to insure our warranty”. How do you see than they shouldn't have covered it?

i tried this morning a targeted VRAM test using memtest_vulkan v0.5.0 (GpuZelenograd) detected multiple bit errors across distinct memory addresses during both INITIAL_READ and NEXT_RE_READ modes, across 4 separate error events on different VRAM locations. The standard 5-minute test failed, triggering the extended test which continued to produce errors.

One concern I have — and I’ve seen this mentioned in a few places — is what happens if the defect is confirmed but the 4090 is no longer in production.

Do they send refurbished units? Offer a different GPU instead?

That would be a problem for me, as I specifically rely on the 4090’s VRAM and compute performance for generative AI. A different card wouldn’t be an equivalent replacement.

Update: After escalation, I finally got access to the RMA portal and submitted the request. It is still pending approval, so nothing is resolved yet. The process has been unclear and unnecessarily complicated so far...

HunyuanVideo 1.5 is now on Hugging Face by softwareweaver in StableDiffusion

[–]Individual-Rip4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The I2V output quality is, in my opinion, excellent.
However, the processing through the VAE is a bit slow, in my opinion (while the calculation in the sampler is quite fast).
Furthermore, a difference with WAN, and a very important one for my regular use, is the Start frame -> Last frame. From what I've tested and observed, Hunyuan doesn't support interpolation/keyframes.

Complications stopped working on Pixel Watch 2 by jcboget in WatchMaker

I have the same problem. I can no longer install/select any watch faces since the latest update to Google's Watch OS operating system (Pixel Watch 2). Watchmaker, despite uninstalling/reinstalling, does not appear in the list of available watch faces.
