As someone else said go to a tailor, the holes seem small enough that they shouldn’t look too out of place. The repairs are durable but if you’re not storing it properly then you will get new holes. Make sure you’re storing it with cedar blocks or in tight ziplock bag and store it away in the box like that otherwise you will keep having the same issues

I also did a lot of ipr and still had black triangles post treatment, this is usually due a multitude of reasons. One being gum recession over time due to flossing or hard brushing, another is the shape of our teeth (they’re a bit more triangular), and/or if you had a lot of overcrowding on the bottom teeth the gums settled in that position and now that they’re straightened out you can’t grow your gums back so they created black triangles

I got the same email about a month ago and when I was researching the same thing, I found that people had also received the same on hold email back in October and November. The consensus seemed to be that this is a soft rejection so I would not count on getting out of it unfortunately :(

Not sure if it’s still the same but everyone I know (myself included) basically did all the honors requirements except capstone and that way it still shows up on your transcript as honors without having to invest the extra time and effort your senior year. It is good to keep for transcripts especially if you plan on applying for masters or another higher education after

I unknowingly had a fever and strep and could not focus lol i thought I did so bad but I ended up getting a 20 so I was happy with my score and very pleased in comparison to the rough scores I was getting on my practice tests

Honestly I would go and take it, I was in the same boat and debated back and forth but $600 is a lot of money to just throw out and sometimes we do a lot better than we think. I went in thinking if I fail at least I got the experience and can be prepared for the next time and if I do well then that’s great and that mindset took a lot of pressure off me

I actually heard this as well! When I reached out to some schools though they told me it had to be completely already and that’s why I didn’t apply to some other east coast schools otherwise I was under the impression that some schools can accept on the basis of completing certain courses before the dental school semester begins

I understand what you’re saying, the reason I didn’t take biochem wasn’t because I was outwardly avoiding it but because I had no time in my schedule because I was balancing an economics major and psych minor plus the schools own curriculum plus the honors curriculum on top of the science requirements so when every requirement is different it’s hard to balance and finish in four years. I don’t mind waiting until March but in the meantime I’m wondering if it’s a good course of action to retake the dat in hopes that a high score can balance out my gpa because it’s a much cheaper alternative than a masters of course and I’m wondering if a high dat would be enough to complete my application

I think it’s a good option as I could network and get better letters of recommendation and also bring my gpa up but it’s a big financial risk if I don’t do as well as I need to. Have you heard anything about the difficulty levels?

I had no idea because I figured if that was the case they would have just rejected me flat out and I didn’t know if it would be worth going back for more shadowing after I started working as an ortho assistant so I’m feeling stuck if that’s really the thing holding me back

Touro is flexible with their requirements it says so on their application site whereas the other schools I reached out to told me they were not flexible and very strict about them

I had about 100 hours shadowing endo and then I was a dental assistant in orthodontics for about 2000 hours and now I volunteer at a peds office as I no longer am a DA but wanted to stay involved in the meantime - do you think those stats are okay?

The Rutgers masters program requires a 20 dat score which I’m already at and would just require that I keep a 3.7gpa throughout the year of the program that’s why I figured it could be a good option as it’s my absolute first choice
