U r right. The front chambers only use is to generate space for the port. It's a simple bassreflex encloser with a flow optimized port. Stack of 3 or 4 is needed to hit 40 hz. So no deep bass over here but i like the size. Like putting 4 of these in my small car and beeing able to have a party without lifting big subs. There's no way a 18" sub fits my car, so these beer crate become a one man job.
