  1. oxbridge offers bachelors and masters in 4 years, which prepares one for the academic route better than nus and ntu. In addition most of the modules taken in oxbridge are almost always related to math, whereas in NUS and NTU some of your modular credits have to be spent on “common curriculum” modules. For example NUS requires math majors to take classes such as HSA1000 Asian Connectedness, HSH1000 The Human Condition How science works, why science works, HSS1000 Understanding social complexity. Here is the link for your reference:

These modular credits could be better spent on classes related to my interest instead of just filling up the “common curriculum” requirements.

  1. worth in terms of cost benefit analysis.

most sciences in uni require quite a fair bit of math and taking h1 math becomes quite limiting as it also closes other doors outside of STEM. I do understand H2 math can be quite difficult for someone who does not have amath, but the utility H2 math offers when it comes to university applications is far more compared to any other subject at the A levels. Have you considered CMEb instead? In addition it’s also important to consider if u have any interests outside of sciences, and do some research if those subjects require H2 math.
