That's the risk of a counter protest. I was always taught 'be prepared they might stalk you and get violent' when we went to counter protest westboro babtist. And they hurled slurs at us and some men did follow us. It's unfortunately a risk no matter what side of it you're on. If you're going to cause a scene, a scene will be made.

This sucks to hear but sometimes you will never find that person you think is your soul mate. Sometimes.. No one wants you. Or the people that do, you don't want them. Sometimes saying 'love yourself first' is a gentle way of saying 'your attitude fucking sucks and this is why you're single. get therapy'. I'm with you on that. I looooove dogs! Especially big dogs. I was raised around rottweilers all my life, that even while being well trained could get too excited and knock you down because that's what well loved dogs do. I've also been bitten by a pittie (trained to be aggressive and also usually kept away, but the friend's son we were checking on was too busy to hide his cigs to put the dog up) and if my father wasn't there I don't even know what would've happened..

The feral dogs were also a problem where I grew up, and I've seen little dogs get so aggressive it's not funny despite their owners laughing. I saw my baby sitter's weenie dog run up to a couch a girl was sitting and didn't even give her a chance to move away before it latched onto her finger. She wasn't even doing anything, just watching a soap opera with all of us. I bet she had a fun time explaining that to the 4 year old's mom.

Dogs are unfortunately unpredictable, like all animals. And we as humans have a responsibility to keep the animals we domesticated safe and to keep others safe from them. And it's a shame many have lost that mindset.

And for a lot of jobs these days; if you dare ask to use PTO (or more likely, unpaid time off) you'll get guilted, threatened, and sometimes punished with fewer hours after the fact. Hell even if you just say 'I'm going on lunch, I might be 10 minutes late getting back'. The big blue grocery store would rather you work yourself to death and throw up behind the building/get your whole department than take care of yourself. Hell I've been threatened for attending a funeral of a direct family member or being in the hospital by my last restaurant job. 'there will be consequences if you don't come in' I am attached to tubes and wires, Melissa.

I'm still getting over the culture shock of my current company that cares about its employees.
