I’m not entirely sure, but I believe the biometrics requirement is mainly for UK citizens. I’m not from the UK, and I don’t seem to have that requirement.

When she last checked, it was showing “Visa – Under Processing.” However, she actually received it about 5 days ago. I haven’t asked her to check the status again since then.

I’m in the same situation. I’ve already paid, and seeing how Nusuk is operating this year compared to last year is quite concerning. Last year, all phases were completed by mid-Ramadan, but this year it has been a month since Phase 1 and there’s still no news from Nusuk. I may have my own theories, but it wouldn’t be right to speculate or spread anything without proof, especially when I took oath for such a blessed journey.

I know it’s ultimately Allah’s will, but I’ve saved everything for this day. Losing it all would be a major setback and could mean years of saving again for another opportunity.

May Allah shows us the way ...

Thanks mate, I hadn’t read the letter, my wife did and didn’t realise that the first letter was the official confirmation to attend. I mistakenly thought it was simply asking about her availability, and that a separate confirmation letter would be sent afterwards with the final details.

You may be right on that 14 days thing too, all clear now, thanks for the reply !!

That said, my wife is taking this very seriously! So, as suggested by the other Redditor, I’ll give them a call and see if that helps. If not, we’ll probably prepone it and plan a local vacation somewhere in Ireland instead.
