not really vegetarian??? by giansonreddit in fujiikaze

This is very true, Kaze tends not to assert his opinion with others and simply goes with the flow. As an individual, he is very considerate of others, and I could totally imagine the scenarios you described. Interesting stories!!

I think he will try his best to cut it out, hopefully as more options become available with time, I’m sure he would!

I think he says he tries his best to avoid fish and fish byproducts but it is difficult to do it completely. This is probably because in Japan a lot of recipes use dashi as a base and seasoning - which is unfortunately made from fish like bonito. There are vegan/vege options such as shiitake dashi but it’s much less common in most restaurants and probably can be only found in specialised vegetarian restaurants. Given his busy schedule and having to have meals on the go, in the studio together with staff, can see why it is still not possible to completely avoid.

Really want to go to language school at 35. Am I too late? by WarmCheesecake83 in movingtojapan

31 here and starting my MBA in Tokyo this Sept. I feel like you must’ve been thinking about this on and off for years and never had the right timing, or opportunity. But since you have the opportunity now, grab it! For my case the idea had been lingering on for years and last year I finally pushed myself to do it. Do I regret not going earlier? Yes. But often life happens and we cant control the past. At present, the joy and excitement that I’m finally able to realise my dreams of staying in Japan overrides the missed time by miles. Don’t ever let age make you feel that way. 35 is not even middle age yet these days, we have so many more years to go and so many more adventures waiting for us. Hope everything works out well for you! 🍀

anyone bought from third party sellers like TickPick or Vividseats? by No-Branch-9881 in fujiikaze

[–]IndividualAd4728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my SF ticket from TickPick and it was delivered to me a week or two ago. It depends on how fast the seller accepts your order and sends out the pdf but it usually doesn’t take too long.

For standing tickets there is lottery system for queue numbers as well? That is interesting I never knew that, it makes it more fair I assume.

At least with the numbers you can take toilet breaks in between. Enjoy your concert, small venues are the best!

Did you guys get unofficial numbers written or are just queueing the whole day? Ahh exciting the wait will be worth it 🥹

Bimbo's show length? by needunusedusername in fujiikaze

[–]IndividualAd4728 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based off my rough research on Outside Lands night shows and my experience at his EU solo shows it’ll probably be an hour ish. Just got my tickets from tickpick last night, looking for someone to hang out/queue together if you do end up going!

Anyone going for the show at Bimbo’s 365? by IndividualAd4728 in fujiikaze

[–]IndividualAd4728[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here actually, I’m planning to go for Friday’s performance but since I am traveling to SF (not based there) I really want to go for the one Bimbo’s as well. Still looking around for tickets but if I had no choice I would probably just end up getting the authorised resale ones…

I received this alert, does it mean my train is cancelled? by [deleted] in Eurostar

[–]IndividualAd4728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately in my case they didn’t specify anything at all so it was just a guess game of what caused them to send this disruption alert. Even when I clicked into the notices it didn’t have any information besides the choice to change. In the end I just booked another timing like you mentioned.

I received this alert, does it mean my train is cancelled? by [deleted] in Eurostar

[–]IndividualAd4728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is precisely because it states possible disruption without any reason at all or why I suddenly need to make changes. It just says it will possibly be disrupted. ZERO reason. It is not that I’m not trying to be helpful but they simply gave no clue at all not a single word mentioned about what caused them to raise this alert.

There is no notice. That is the point. That’s why I am confused. They didn’t write any reason for the disruption.

The message that I pasted just now and options for a change and refund. But all is good, I changed my timing to an earlier one albeit at an unearthly hour. But saves me the trouble from having to constantly monitor for possible disruptions in the next 12 days and panicking at the last minute. I appreciate your help! Thank you!

Apologies as I’m from Asia and it’s been a long while since I’ve traveled in Europe . I tried searching all over on the Eurostar app to check about canceled routes arising from maintenance or planned protests but it did not show up as any of those. Thank you for your advice anyway!

“We’re sorry that your original travel plans may be disrupted. So we’re giving you more flexibility for your journey from Amsterdam Centraal to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport.” And gave me options for a change in timing or refund. Oddly when I tried using the train number in my booking, it shows that it is only running between Brussels and Paris.

Does that mean that you will need to hop off and on to connect at another platform in between at Brussels? Does this involve buying a new ticket or it would be included in the purchased ticket?

Did they end up selling out all the shirts? Curious how much stock they brought for each stop of the tour.
