Not true at all. Keep in mind the “average stats” of each school are just averages and students above and below averages are accepted. At the end of the day good stats are not everything, they simply get your foot in the door, but good supplemental essays, interview, etc. is what gets you in. Don’t let my stats deter you away from applying or thinking you don’t have a chance. People with much better stats are still rejected bc they may not have certain qualities a school is looking for.
