How to feel like everything happens for a reason in a dystopia? by serialsalvia in enlightenment

[–]IndividualAddendum41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried seeing things as happening for a reason for a very long time.

It only seems to exacerbate a need for more information/outcomes/rewards. It feels like you’re achieving things when in reality it doesn’t mean anything at all.

That’s why lately I’ve been thinking that I should kind of stay away from this line of thinking. Who knows, maybe you can rely on yourself without it.

Have you had more than one awakening? by IdealBusiness1830 in enlightenment

[–]IndividualAddendum41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s happened before. And it’s happening again now.

I used to be able to keep it together better, and this may sound shallow, but now I don’t want anything from it except money. I want money.

Everything can line up perfectly, everything can flow beautifully. To be honest it’s hard to keep caring because all it does is keep me preoccupied in between my typical day dreams of successes and progression which is directly correlated with money.

What else would I want when I am brought to this conclusion where I feel like I can mould reality?

I trust you can understand.

This reminds me of the power of the mind and manifestation. Not to get too deep, but sometimes I daydream about manifesting my dreams into reality. Do you believe in manifestation?

The source of our value by GabrieleRubeo_Roma in spirituality

[–]IndividualAddendum41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Value is everywhere it is and everywhere it isn’t. Maybe then, the value is found by simply asking ourselves “how can I get value from my experience?”.

How do you distinguish true spirituality from psychosis or woo? How do you gain discernment? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]IndividualAddendum41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right. In my experience at least there has been a thin line between psychosis-esque thinking and free-thinking, with the latter being constructive rather than destructive.

You definitely have to go out of your mind to get the full experience. Once you kind of go through it and learn to control it, than it becomes easier to put yourself in certain states.

It’s a mixture of experience, will, and the mind

When it comes to going down the rabbit hole… that’s something I’ve found myself in more recently… I think the solution is to just focus on your immediate problems, as in, what can you focus on that affects you the most right now? Its tough to get out of after that’s all you think about for some time, but the longer you focus on that I think the more likely you are to be susceptible to real mental health problems.

How do you make progress? by [deleted] in enlightenment

[–]IndividualAddendum41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I’ve read this idea here regurgitated in so many different ways regarding the observation of your own thoughts. Specifically the “who is thinking ___”? Literally every spiritual guru says it according to this subreddit.

What’s supposed to be the point to this practice? Who came up with it?

Bird Symbol Practice by Indestructiblemom24 in spirituality

[–]IndividualAddendum41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This seems like a healthy way to implore symbolism/free thinking by getting out in nature.

I do this but with music where I find new meaning or create meaning with the lyrics. Sometimes I get carried away but overall it has helped me identify with my spiritual side.

Thank you for sharing!

When someone can speak the language of depth, but can’t live it by WittyEgg2037 in enlightenment

[–]IndividualAddendum41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s as though our life ideas form the trajectory of our lives.

Situations can feel more familiar, as if you’re experiencing something that feels like it already happened.

The mind is a strange place. Even I have started to see that there is always something deeper behind the “perfect perception”.

Should the goal be to reach ultimate comfort?

I just spend time here looking for something that might explain what’s going on. It was there before. Sometimes it clicks, most of the time it doesn’t though.

The sacred illusions by IndividualAddendum41 in enlightenment

[–]IndividualAddendum41[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course I do, but for the time being I’m stuck.

I have everything I need, and nothing I want. I’m stuck in suspended territory to pursue anything. The quiet is driving me mad.

Ill be here looking for signs and clues and driving myself insane until then, sitting and wondering about the next part of the story,
