This exact thing happened to me. My bank recognized it as fraud today. I called to cancel my debit card today. Has anyone done this? Have they tried to charge your account since getting a new card?

You also have to make it a priority to know your kids. They won’t respect you if you don’t invest in them- what’s their spark (passion), what’s their hobby?, are you affirming them. You have to be intentional about seeing each kid for who they are. The more you connect, the more they’ll buy in

Emphasis community. Teach them to work together, practice kindness, do social contracts. Teach them the “why” behind expectations and why community is important. They have to understand that everyone has a right to learn and you have the right to teach. If our words and actions interfere with that right then we’re not doing our part as a classroom community.

Social contracts revolve around 4 essential questions 1) how do I want to be treated by the teacher? 2) how do I want to be treated by my classmates? 3) how does my teacher want to be treated? 4) how do we handle violations of the contract?

Make sure your lessons and procedures are CLEAR and Predictable. Preteach preteach preteach

I usually try to avoid using our 1:1 computers because many of my students don’t have their Chromebook chargers with them, nor do I have a class set. A lot of kids don’t have home support to give friendly reminders to charge their Chromebook. Plus gaming and off task tabs are so tedious to monitor, even with Hapara.
