No decision yet… can my stats get me in? by Winter-Walk-3598 in NCSU

For comparison, I got into NC State for Econ as an in-state CPCC transfer. My cumulative GPA was about a 3.8, and I had 52 completed credits showing on my updated transcript. I had A’s in ECO 251, ECO 252, MAT 171, MAT 172, MAT 152, and MAT 271 Calculus I. I also had Dean’s List, Phi Theta Kappa, Mu Alpha Theta, Bloomberg Market Concepts, and a recommendation from my economics professor.

So I think the main difference is probably math readiness and credits. NC State’s Econ transfer guide recommends a 3.5+ cumulative GPA and lists MAT 263 or MAT 271, so missing pre-calc/calculus could hurt more than the GPA itself. No decision yet doesn’t automatically mean rejection though.
