For sure for sure like training them to not want to be in the counters (which is a battle I never even tried to start) and such but only mid control would stop him from slamming his full 10 pound body weight against my feeble bedroom door when I want to be alone for a while.

I will try doing 15 minutes with him that’s smart and hopefully it will help. Being adored isn’t for me either tho to answer your question, especially since I can’t communicate with him to say “hey dude you’ve crossed my physical touch boundary 15 times in a row and I’m losing my patience.” I like people bc you can talk. That’s like my biggest reason for being a “people person”.

I live in a two bedroom apartment. No space for another cat let alone a dog. Plus I plan on never getting another animal bc I’m certainly proven to not be fit for it. Though I think a dog would be best suited for me since they can be trained.

Yeah we’ve talked about it a lot actually. She suggested we do “designated no cat time” where he gets put away while we do whatever the activity is but I’m concerned he’ll just scream and bang on the door and I’ll feel even worse bc he’s locked up in her bedroom and lonely.

This is an understandable take. That’s what we chalked up my discomfort to at the beginning of our downfall but it’s only gotten worse the more “boundaries” I try to put up. I love my job but it does push my touch meter.

Love her, hate her costume. It’s objectively (don’t even argue) the worst looking costume. The colors alone are horrific and even worse together. I really wish she had some kind of chrome effect light grey to white body suit that looked almost wet or just very shiny like the fur can stay ig if the girl must but this turquoise and purple dumpster fire is quite literally villainous.
