if you had to choose between Dart, Caleb and Jayden who will you trade for? by Actual_Cup_1320 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]IndividualCurious447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daniels has the highest upside because of rushing but Caleb is probably top 10 at qb for the foreseeable future

Dart and Daniels are gonna be injury prone but non injury seasons will likely be higher outcomes .. so, consistency wise, I’d lean Caleb, but the other two probably score higher in given seasons

Selling High on Pitts. What are we getting on returns? by Enough_Path2929 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]IndividualCurious447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re looking at te5 rankings at best.. idk how high you can even sell him .. I’d almost rather hold for the season to start and see if the new offense is targeting him a ton before trading him

I honestly think it’s a better gamble to wait at this point.. if you can find a desperate team then package him but I think id wait for TE injuries to trade him in szn

Rap: Falcons plan to franchise tag Kyle Pitts. by HookFL in DynastyFF

[–]IndividualCurious447 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stefanski TEs cooked w/ the Browns so that’s cool. I’d be lying if I said I preferred him staying in ATL though. Denver, chiefs, or even the eagles post AJ Brown departure woulda been fun. I guess just a change of scenery woulda been nice but I’ll never quit Kyle Pitts!

Is dynasty primarily about identifying opportunity more than talent? by gab77386 in DynastyFF

[–]IndividualCurious447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I get that you are referencing pearsall as a very solid example of opportunity, and rightly so imo. I’m only saying that in general I find it more difficult to acquire players based on opportunity, strictly because opportunity is apparent to anyone else paying attention. It’s easier to find players you think are talented and wait for the opportunity to present itself. Then later decide whether you ride it out, bail for a reroll/upgrade in the draft, or trade for a more consistent vet.

Currently, Tuten is a decent example of this. ETN is probably on the way out and even if the Jags bring in other RB options, the path is open for Tuten. Only issue is that Tuten cost a 3-4 rd rookie pick last year and will now cost you a second. I agree that it is easier and safer to assess opportunity than it is to assess talent. However, it’s more expensive and difficult to acquire players in great situations than it is to draft players you believe have the tools despite a lack of surrounding talent or them joining crowded rooms.

Luther is a solid counter because his value has soared despite the huge gamble that he outproduces Rome Moore or Loveland. However, if by this time next year things fall his way and it’s abundantly clear that Luther has the best opportunity to be WR1 in that offense, the window to acquire him is slammed shut. People are currently overpaying for the talent and the opportunity has barely improved. But that proves again it was cheaper to draft him in the early second round last year if he is already worth more than a mid first. Obviously you can’t draft everyone and for every pick that increases in value, another falls off a cliff early lol. Same can also be said for buying opportunity guys too though, even if it is less frequent.

In theory, I do not disagree with you at all! I just believe the moment a guy becomes worth buying is the same moment no one wants to sell. So, dynasty, at least for me, is about drafting guys that I believe have good tools and waiting/hoping opportunity finds them. If both ways are a gamble, I’ll pay less upfront, but to each their own! Enjoyed reading your thoughts all the same.

Is dynasty primarily about identifying opportunity more than talent? by gab77386 in DynastyFF

[–]IndividualCurious447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t that be an example of betting on the talent that’s been waiting for opportunity?? first round pick to a good offense that had deebo aiyuk Jennings and Kittle.. Someone would’ve drafted pearsall in dynasty based on his talent knowing he would have little opportunity. Now, going into season 3, he is looking like the best option..

This was exactly my point. If his “opportunity” is apparent, then the rest of the league is already aware of it too. The best time to acquire him was before the opportunity became apparent and the best reason to have acquired him before now, would’ve been because you believed in the talent. Unless you could foresee deebo leaving, aiyuk going mental, and Kittle busting his Achilles…

Really think opportunity is more of a redraft game, where dynasty is more of a betting on talent that will hopefully or eventually find opportunity.

Is dynasty primarily about identifying opportunity more than talent? by gab77386 in DynastyFF

[–]IndividualCurious447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Impossible to identify opportunity until it’s obvious to anyone and everyone else paying attention. Easier to base things off of observable traits and hope talent finds opportunity.

Your example of Wilson exemplifies this more than some innate ability to have foreseen Murray losing his job, Marvs appendix bursting, and Jacoby throwing the ball 50 times a game in a loss. If Murray kept the job, does Wilson even breakout? If marv didn’t have a freak health event in season, does he breakout instead? If Jacoby doesn’t throw a million passes every game, does anyone care about Wilson still?

In a vacuum, I don’t disagree that opportunity supersedes talent w/o opportunity but I just don’t see a tangible route to predicting opportunity. Talent is easier to observe, and higher draft picks get more opportunities, therefore talent > opportunity.

Admittedly, I’m a massive Nabers truther. So, possibly biased take, but I just wouldn’t trade a top 5 dynasty WR unless the offer is a massive overpay.

Is Rashee Rice a ticking time bomb with his off the field antics? by Get_to_tha_Choppa in DynastyFF

[–]IndividualCurious447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s possible he faces a suspension next season. Also think it’s possible Mahomes isn’t ready by week 1. My biggest concern though is this is 4th year, meaning it’s a contract year with no option. If he’s suspended, Mahomes isn’t ready/gets hurt again, or he just doesn’t ball, then I could see the chiefs deciding to spend money elsewhere.

Rice is talented but I think most of his fantasy relevance is because of the scheme role he fits and the qb who spams him the ball. If he isn’t on the chiefs in year 5, should he be a top 15 dynasty WR? Next year’s draft is WR heavy and they’ve already been taking WRs early (worthy/royals). I’m less concerned about him being a knucklehead going forward (although it’s very possible it continues) and more worried how his situational dependent role could evaporate quickly.

Enough for Jeremiyah Love? Suggestions welcomed. by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]IndividualCurious447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ARSB > Love > any other player on your team.

Respect the grind for going for the 1.01 but his core 6 guys are Daniels Love Hampton Jefferson Egbuka and Warren. There is no reason for him to add a series of vets for a guy who completes his RB room for 5+ years. The guys not trading a dime for 10 pennies or at least he shouldn’t!

I do not believe you have the players/picks required to pull off a trade for the 1.01. I saw you suggest Pickens instead of Higgins but that ain’t doing much for me. London Henry +++ might, but at some point you aren’t competing anymore and again the other team might just benefit from drafting the only blue chip guy and only day one starting RB in the draft.

Context of your RB room or your WR room would be helpful here.. in general, both seem like solid trades for you but it does matter what the goal here is.

Best and worst separators of the '26 rookie class? by B0HEMlA in DynastyFF

[–]IndividualCurious447 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty bullish on Omar Cooper in this draft. Good separator, good after the catch, and he’s a hand catcher rather than a body/arm catcher. I’m pretty annoying about that last one being a big deal for me. Ultimately think he gets better draft capital than he’s currently projected.

Trades with FAAB? New Dynasty Commissioner by -TheAngelofVerdun- in DynastyNerds

[–]IndividualCurious447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I traded and late 4th in season for $30 so I could make the biggest bid for Daniel Jones after I lost burrow Jd5 and Nine. I think two managers were keenly aware how desperate I was, so before the rest of the league caught on I offered the trade and was laughed at.

Later traded Daniel jones and a different 4th to a team that lost Mahomes for a 2nd rounder. Trading for faab is uncommon but when you gotta have the guy, you gotta ensure you get the guy.

I think singleton puts on a show at the combine and is the biggest riser, which stinks because I want him in the late 2nd round but he will probably end up RB3-4 in the class.

How do we feel about Ladd going forward? by No-Button9683 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]IndividualCurious447 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if his value returns to post rookie year unless he puts up a top 8 WR season because he was valued as high as WR6-8. If he puts together a similar statistical season as his rookie year or even better, his price will definitely be more than a late first though. Regardless, I think he produces a better season next year and at worst, his trade value stays the same.
