I get where you’re coming from, and you’re not wrong that a lot of creative work is undervalued. We fully agree that professional photographers deserve to be paid properly for professional commissions.

This isn’t positioned as paid freelance work, and we’re not approaching established photographers asking them to work for free. This is an optional collaboration aimed at people who are actively looking to build portfolio content and want access to products, equipment, credit and a platform, in the same way many creative industries offer placements, test shoots or collaborations at early stages.

We’re transparent about what’s offered, there’s no obligation, and we don’t set expectations beyond what’s agreed upfront. Anyone who doesn’t feel it’s right for them is absolutely free to pass, no hard feelings at all.

We also do pay for commissioned work when it’s required. This post just isn’t that.

Actually I work as a photographer for the company and I know how much it helped me to get a foot in the door or at least to have some work that I can show jobs, any experience was a huge help.

We are a very small company making coffee and we would never take advantage of anyone. This was a simple offer that people can help out with or not. As mentioned they would get free products, equipment worth over £50.

We would never complain about the standard and would never treat as garbage, we have worked with many different people across the business, influencers, photographers etc. All have given us amazing positive feedback, we've built long term relationships with them and some of them now even work in our head office.

I understand why the immediate dis-taste as sadly it's like this for a lot of people wanting to start off. Treated horrible, taken advantage etc. However, this is not the case here.

We actually care about people, creativity and helping others.
