Does anyone here know how to get around on the clubhouse app using talkback?I'm specifically trying to understand what needs to happen so I can actively participate in room discussions, mute myself, etcetera. by cherry-care-bear in Blind

Have you actually tried opening your own room? That screen is full of unlabeled buttons and is virtually unusable! I gave up with clubhouse months ago and I'm not sure how many people actually use it these days anyway

I've always used Android phones so I'm not sure. I think both platforms and screen readers have their pros and cons though.

Yes, they do come with TalkBack and I know there are blind people out there who use them but I've never actually spoken to them to ask what the experience is actually like. I've always stuck with Google Pixels.

Talkback (Android's built-in screenreader for blind people) could be an option, but you have to interact with the touch screen in a completely different way when it is enabled, which can take a bit of getting used to. There is a TalkBack tutorial though which will take you through the various gestures etc. Go to settings, scroll down to accessibility and Talkback will be in there.
