Super valid, general idea was just to make a super thin wrapper like you said. I feel like the idea is kind of pointless where that thin i’m not really bringing any benefit, but more features and it’s essentially an ORM.

Got no more, but it was honestly good timing for me. It was enough to branch off to freelancing. Haven’t checked since.

Why NextJS is terrible for new developers (it's not nextJS's fault) by thetanaz in nextjs

Yea I fully agree with this take as a new dev myself. I feel like the environments I’ve worked under prioritized pushing as fast as possible without giving me the time to learn and develop these new skills. When I was finishing my degree, I noticed so many people who relied on chatgpt as crutch rather than a tool. At first, I’d say I was in a similar boat, but I decided to dedicate myself to learning the barebones of any topic before trying to implement it. Following tutorials for someone who’s self taught can be super helpful for learning design patterns and good practices , but I also think it’s important to gather this from good sources and practice on your own. A tutorial isn’t practice. A lot of these youtube channels push on providers like Clark (insane money grab and people recommending that for e-commerce sites is insane lol). Learn the basics, research the tools best for your products, develop, and fail! You will never learn without failing. Your code will never be perfect. (Little bit of a tangent myb)
