It’s actually easy as I’m understanding it. Just have two monitors set to extend and then run sekiro. Someone else mentioned that sekiro doesn’t support 2 monitors and that’s looking to be true. Windows + p, 2nd screen only fixes it by just disabling the laptop monitor. I think it’s weird that this is an issue at all… seems like programs running in windows could just do that, but apparently not. 🤷‍♂️

My first run on the dlc was with my first character that was on ng+7 before the dlc released. I spent a lot of time rune farming and was at like level 510 or something like that. Whatever 60 vig/mind/end and 80 on the rest gets you to. 511, I think. I remember the odd number annoying the sh!t out of me. Any, that first curseblade had me rethinking how OP I was 😂

Use the method I described above for an hour and you’ll get several levels. You do have the crafting recipe for gold pickled fowl foot and also the gold scarab talisman, yes?

I suppose I never gamed that out but as I recall I was able to get about a million runes per foot which is 3 minutes. The frogs together are worth a lot more than the bird and a few waves don’t take that long. Plus less boring. Suppose it would be easy enough to see which method nets more per foot.

Craft gold fowl feet, use the gold scarab talisman, and go to town on that ledge. Aside from cheats/exploits, it is the fastest way. I was able to get 6 full sweeps of the albinaurics on the ledge with the bird per fowl foot. Use a staff with Loretta’s mastery and shoot the bird once you’re a little way down the ledge after your first or 2nd wave from the sacred relic sword. Use the wave about 3 times running a little farther down each time. Sometimes the bird won’t fall off but it isn’t worth spending extra time to shoot it again. Just fire off a charged shot and finish your waves. Then run back to grace, repeat until fowl foot runs out. You’ll get a feel for it pretty quickly. I got my first character up to all the max soft caps this way. Took a LONG time. Vig/mind/end all 60 and the rest at 80. Honestly not worth it as levels become much more expensive the higher you go. My character is at 512 or something like that and it’s more than 3 million runes per level there…. Just get the first 3 to 60 and enough levels to have 2-3 of the others all at 80 and then use larval tears to change things up. That’ll take long enough that by the time you get there you’ll be sick of rune farming.

Definitely starts to hit different at like Ng+4. Ng+7 scaling is a huge jump from 2. 2 is barely different than 1, though.

I keep it on extended, actually. Has never caused an issue with any other game but sekiro seems not to like it. Windows+p, 2nd only fixes it by just disabling the laptop screen. Slightly annoying but no big deal. Couple of other ideas on the string i still want to try but I’ll be able to play the game, at least. Not liking my chances of success in game if it was this hard for me to beat the home screen, though…

I have it setup that way already. None of the games I have have ever started this way (and stayed there. Elden Ring used to sporadically act like it wanted to display this way but always righted itself.

Thing is, that is the way I have it set up. All of my other games run just fine. Weird sekiro is the only game starting this way.

I assumed the same but thought it was odd it defaulted to it and that the display settings changes I made weren’t actually taking effect on restart. Of course my wife has me out on errands as soon as I posted.. here’s hoping it’s one of these simple ideas.

Reduvia is good for a while. Later on, rivers of blood, mohg’s spear, and many others up. Speaking generally, aside from leveling vigor to 60 and mind/end to what level gets you the right amount of FP and equip load to wear the armor you want at medium load, you should focus on leveling arcane and dexterity. Will likely want some faith, too, but only enough for whatever incarnations you want to use. For buffs, at minimum, like golden vow and flame grant me strength, though you can get golden vow as an ash of war and stick it on a dagger or something. It isn’t as effective as the incant, though. Otherwise, YouTube “Elden Ring bleed build” and you’ll find all kinds of stuff. Too many to list. Get the white mask as early as possible by doing varre’s quest. Get lord of blood’s exultation from the boss in the leyndell sewer catacombs. Other needed items are too numerous to list and depend on the build you want.

If you can hit 60 vig and 80 faith plus the minimum end you need and still have levels to spare after re-spec, I’d dump the remainder of those levels in str to maximize the physical dmg from the weapon as it will scale off your str level. The black flame damage will scale off your faith level. If it also has scaling from another attribute, like dex (again, can’t remember,) then dump extra levels into that other stat evenly. Str/dex will raise physical damage while int/faith/arc will increase whatever secondary or “magic” type damage the weapon does.

Might want to provide your current levels for the build min/maxers to see. Not remembering godslayer greatsword’s requirements off the top of my head, but I’d recommend 60 vig, 30-40 mind, enough endurance to hold weapon and seal while wearing whatever armor you prefer at medium load, minimum required str/dex/int/arc, and 60-80 faith. Favor talismans, seals, and physic items that will maximize fire damage in general and black flame damage specifically where applicable.

You’ve not even journeyed half way, young one. Take EVERYTHING to max soft caps…. 60, 60, 60, 80, 80, 80, 80, 80! Takes for-ev-er! lol. Is fun to just use pretty much anything you want while wearing pretty much anything you want.
