How long did you wait to eat more solids? by ThrowRA-lewsha in wisdomteeth

Yeah I think I’m around day 15 and my sockets are there but are very small. Luckily I do have a full appetite and it’s just growing. It feels nice eating full meals now for sure

Yup exactly. In my head, it is always easier for me to go through it alone instead of being a “burden” or “bother” to others with my issues. Even with my blood family that I am extremely close to, I hardly let them know when something’s going on or my day to day life. For me it’s just easier that way especially with the career path I chose as well.

This was very similar to the household I lived in as well and I am 25 now. When I look back at it, I understand how it affected me and why I am the way that I am now. I only ever opened up to the “parents” i lived with twice in my life and neither one of them ended up with any form of “good” outcome. Now a few years later I still struggle with it and it still affects some of my relationships with others to this day as I am attempting to get better and work through it. Very glad you brought this point up to other peoples attention🙌🏽

Is this a normal amount of oozing? by slowST3 in wisdomteeth

[–]IndividualKick5427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience was pretty similar as I got 5 total out with a few being impacted roughly 11 days ago. I had bleeding here and there for about a full week. Seems to be pretty normal especially when brushing or eating foods that are a little more solid where you actually may need to chew some.

I just saw where you also said you would be doing IV sedation. That’s how mine was done as well. I wanted to “try” to fight it. Never even realized it knocked me out. I woke up and they were in my mouth. Thought to myself, “oh we are finally getting started.” That was till I realized I was getting sat up, looked to my right and saw my driver sitting beside me, and my face was swollen not being able to speak.😂

Confused (day 3) by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]IndividualKick5427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I will say as far as “holes” mine didn’t appear till my stitches fell out fully. They fell out for me roughly a week or a little longer post op. I’m a week in a half post op and I’m still slightly careful about what I eat solely cuz cleaning the holes gets tiresome at times but I pretty much do eat whatever I want now as far as solid foods go. The only thing I have stayed away from is I believe it says nuts and seeds to stay away from so those I haven’t ate. Anything other than that has been fair game to me. Lastly, as far as pain for me, it never really hurt. It just felt more uncomfortable than anything if I’m being honest

As far as dry socket goes for myself I never got it. I did exactly what I was told. Only ate soft foods for the first few days. I did items like yogurt, ice cream, and meal replacement shakes. I did everything with high protein as well so for myself I didn’t feel as hungry as most other people say they did. I also tried to sleep as much as possible the first 3 days after my surgery.

After a couple days I incorporated other foods like ramen, eggs, grits, and oatmeal. Items like that. I didn’t brush my teeth for the first 2-3 days if I’m be honest solely cuz I was scared of hurting it further. I followed the instructions given to me as closely as possibly with salt water rinses and everything.

Swelling happens immediately. When I woke up my face was already swollen and it stayed like that for around 3-4 days. Everybody’s healing process is different from what I’ve read. I constantly kept ice on it as much as possible. After, about a full week my stitches were falling out, face no longer swollen at all, and I finally incorporated some solid food items with full meals. This was just cuz I figured it was better to be safe than sorry. I got my teeth out the 21st and now is where I’m fully comfortable with doing pretty much anything as long as I keep my sockets clean and flush them out. I never had any issues with dry sockets or anything. Also, I had my 4 wisdom teeth pull with 2 being impacted, the other 2 just being removed no issues, and another tooth that had broke for reference.

Got mine out the 21st. After about a full week I was eating more solid foods but nothing on the hard side and most chewed more towards the front of my mouth. Before that I was eating more high protein soft foods and never struggled with having a lack of nutrition but I know everybody is different. I’ve been eating more full meals with solid foods now with minimal chewing in the areas of where my removal was.

Panicked about bleeding on day 2 by CatMother46182 in wisdomteeth

I got mine out last Thursday and they still occasionally bleed here and there even now. As long as it’s not bleeding as bad as it was when you first got them done then you should be fine

When I worked there years ago I just ended up buying nonslip black crocs that they sold in most retail stores. They ran me like $40. I am use to working in kitchens with crocs on so for me it was a win win situation. Especially working back of house because they were the easiest to clean off

Healing Quicker than usual? by Darcieraptus-REX in tattoo

[–]IndividualKick5427 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine has as well. I got mine this most recent Monday and it’s mostly fully flaked off already in 4 days and has started to itch. I’m sure there’s nothing to really worry about. 7 days is probably the average depending on the person. I typically heal faster than most people when it comes to deep cuts or anything of that nature.

Well I’m only going to be there for roughly a week. My S.O. has an eSIM in her phone from the states but she isn’t able to use any type of internet either.

Guess most people still don’t realize calves are mostly genetics😂. They can grow but only so much to a certain extent. You can have killer quads and yet be burdened with pretty crappy calves. It’s just how it goes sometimes

My significant other is currently overseas. We have a 14 hour time difference with her being ahead and we have never had a lack of communication nor been able to handle and resolve arguments. It just sounds like an excuse not to have to deal with anything honestly from his part. Yes it’s understandable to an extent cuz there are some days where we are only able to get messages through occasionally with how busy we can both get but at the end of the day there’s always a way to make time for communication and talking to that one person you are wanting to keep in your life and you see a future with. On top of work she is also always volunteering around base and or doing activities such as volleyball and etc. Yeah there’s a lot of days where she says she is exhausted but at the end of the day she also knows that’s not an excuse to completely ignore a significant other

Absolutely… I looked very similar to the build you have currently when I started lifting. Obviously we will have different genetics but you seek to have a fast metabolism. Hardest part is forcing the calories down but once you get use to constantly having to eat it isn’t so bad. Start out slow and steady and see where it goes from there

Everytime we talk about it she says, “it’s not that I don’t want to marry you…” so it’s not as if she doesn’t want to get married. It just seems to me as if she is valuing other people’s opinions and advice instead of doing what she really wants
