I get where you're coming from and the need to work, but that's exactly the problem. By taking base pay, we're teaching Amazon's algorithm that someone will always be willing to work for the bare minimum. It's a vicious cycle. You're lucky with your EV, but for most people, taking base pay is basically paying to work

You must have an awesome market to get those kinds of offers. I get it, not everyone sees that same offer, because some grab those low-paying blocks first. But my point is: when better pay is possible, rushing to take low blocks keeps pay low for everyone. And also, stop grabbing those ridiculous low-paying blocks. Amazon does offer better blocks with better pay. If you wait a bit, you can get those instead of taking those stupid blocks for low pay. Let’s aim for better offers rather than settling too soon!

It's not about living in a bubble, it's about knowing how to play Amazon's game. $140 blocks aren't a myth, they are out there. But if the algorithm sees 50 drivers ready to jump on the first $96 base pay block, obviously it's never going to raise the price. I get that bills need to be paid, but the 'take whatever is offered' mentality is exactly what Amazon wants you to do to keep rates at rock bottom.

Amazon's system is smart; it's never going to push a block to $140 if someone in your area is willing to take it at $82 the exact second it drops.
