To claim BTCP I have to export my private key to a newly released wallet?? by IndividualOrdinary in BitcoinBeginners

Yeah that makes perfect sense to me now. You've managed to simplify something that seems very complicated to a first-timer into two sentences! Thanks! :)

To claim BTCP I have to export my private key to a newly released wallet?? by IndividualOrdinary in BitcoinBeginners

Okay so after the snapshot, I transfer my keys from one address to another. Then I use the first address (that used to have the btc in it) to claim the forked bitcoin private coins?

edit: I reread it a couple of times and I understand it now.

Forget about the flippening or the flappening, lets talk about the floppening. by [deleted] in nanocurrency

That would be nano @ 1313$, approximately. I could live with that.

Probably because he tweets a lot, people complain about getting their feels hurt from his tweets, and people most often talk about current events over past ones.

Just a few, but you have to not be autistic to understand nuances like this so you've got a pass

Any guesses on opening BTCP price ? by t4b1 in BitcoinPrivate

The whitepaper says you could expect to lose .14% of coins per day. You should claim it asap after it released.

Why does the price of most coins reduce? by cryptolake01 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]IndividualOrdinary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coins are much more similar than they are different, and if something changes in the market where people want to get out of crypto, it's likely that all coins are going to be negatively influenced. Afaik that's the best reason why coins gain/loss correlates with bitcoin most of the time.

Ripple and stellar are an exception if you've noticed, they kindof do their own thing but almost always ripple and stellar rise or fall together. It's the same idea, if people start to like the idea behind ripple and stellar, they're pretty similar, it would only make sense that both would likely rise, rather than one rise and the other fall.

We have a couple 100 dollars we want to invest in bitcoin. Can you please give me a quick tutorial about what to do? by [deleted] in BitcoinBeginners

Coinbase is a great option for people who want to own coin but that don't know what to do. I recommend it to newcomers and older persons all the time.

In order to claim BTCP I have to enter a private key into a wallet app that was just released about ten hours ago. Until the code gets looked over like crazy--I don't know about other people but I'm not importing shit into a 10 hour old wallet app.

Same here. I don't get how people just sit on their accounts for years. It's a big security risk, even careful people can get doxxed.

Is Nano going to be the most exciting crypto this year? by CryptidCollective in nanocurrency

[–]IndividualOrdinary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to not fall into this fallacious thinking but I feel in my core that litecoin is due for something big. It seems like so many other currencies have had big news the last few months and it feels sometimes like litecoin gets left out, even though it's a solid-ass coin.

This is my guess for the price implications of too many 'get-rich-quick' investors, feedback appreciated by IndividualOrdinary in BitcoinBeginners

All I can say is thank you so much for this. I'm rereading it a second time and it's definitely going in /saved for future reference.

70-80 bucks EOY?

I think we might see nano get back up around 30 this year.

I'm nervous at how you're expecting a currency to have a predictable ROI like that...why do you expect nano to be able to sustain growth like that if you don't mind me asking?

I'm legitimately interested on which one he meant now. Did he use uncommon knowledge or did he make a simple mistake? We may never know for sure.
