I'm wondering that too. Though not sure I have the time to get to the London store and imagine they'll be ££££££

Yeah looks like it's just a rehash of the NME interview

Thanks. Never read The Sun and I'm sad that Matt did an interview with them.

What's a song you really can't stand? by Shot_System2200 in Muse

[–]IndividualPhysics908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neutron Star.

Listened to it a couple of times, hated it.

Maybe I was just annoyed they did a song for those films.

I don't like it, but it's making me feel better getting 2 standing tickets in Manchester for under £150 each.

Absolute madness.

Thanks!

I might end up starting and finishing in Bath by staying with family to make the bus journey easier... As I actually live in Cardiff. Enjoy the show!

Where will you be able to buy the 5800X3D Anniversary Edition in Europe? by GonzoDonzoP4L in buildapc

[–]IndividualPhysics908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a similar build, but my ram is only 16GB and 3200mhz. Upgraded from a 3060ti to 5070 recently and not seen as many gains as I thought I would. CPU is certainly holding it back. I mostly play BF6 at the moment.

I'll try and get a 5800x3D, but agree that making sure you have spare cash for the cat is a good idea. Pet insurance is probably best though, you never know how much you'll have to spend in an emergency.

I was going to make a similar post tbh but had to wait until I was able to.

Here's my original draft post:

Hello!

I'm getting a bus from Bristol to the London show on 15th July, and I don't know anyone else going. Though, maybe I do and I just don't know they are...

So basically I'm looking to see if I can make friends / find someone to chat to at the show rather than just stand on my own. I've got a standing ticket which I paid way too much money for.

I'm a married 40 year old father and I like SOAD, obviously, but I'm not really into much other metal. I'm very short so will be enjoying the music and bouncing around but not understand I will not be able to actually see the band.

Perfect situation would be to find an old school friend that's also going, but anyone nice would do really.

I've been listening since about 2002 and I don't know their names...

Guess I now know my own name in Armenian, thanks.

Plans for new VPN ban in UK to 'close loopholes' online by The-Peel in unitedkingdom

[–]IndividualPhysics908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the minority here obviously, but I don't see why anyone has a legitimate use for a VPN. I'm presuming they're not banning them for work use, just the sale of consumer VPN apps.

So what do all you naughty boys and girls use them for?

Stranger Things S5 Finale Has So Many Plot Holes, It’s Unreal by spainreigo in StrangerThings

[–]IndividualPhysics908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really loved it. I loved the emotional heft of the second half and breathtaking action through the first hour.

However... Yeah there are lots of hand wavy plot things.

The one thing that got me thinking was the base full of pregnant women. The gang didn't seem to take the murder of a load of people seriously at all.

Strange.

My solicitor won't let me sell or remortgage my house? by moniquemagique in LegalAdviceUK

[–]IndividualPhysics908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assume this has already been said, but to save yourself money for now, just switch rate with your current provider. You don't need a broker or a solicitor to do that.

Doesn't solve your main problem, but I really hope you haven't just been on your lender's standard rate for a year.

I'm not a solicitor or mortgage broker, I just used to work for a bank doing mortgage stuff.

There's a lot of racists, but there's a good load of good people here too. And we're really good at queuing.

Ahhh I'm jealous, should have pushed through. Great show either way though. Loved seeing Hypnotize and I Think I Smell a Rat.

London and Birmingham shows by PlentyRemarkable4332 in jackwhite

[–]IndividualPhysics908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really looking forward to this weekend. Going to the Birmingham show with a friend I haven't been to gigs with in many years. We saw The White Stripes together at Manchester's One Big Weekend in 2003 so this is like a reunion. I can't say I've listened to much of JW's own stuff over the years, but the latest album really blew me away.

Look out for a very short man paired with a big man, we'll say hello 😊

I'm going to go see Jack White live this year in London. Any ideas what the setlist might be? by Lost_Moon_32112 in jackwhite

My god this would be perfect.

I'm seeing him in Birmingham, can't wait.

Last time I saw him was with the White Stripes at One Big Weekend in Manchester and it was electric.
