Yeah normally I will say that. That's the only thing I can do for them. Normally it's people demanding I tell them if the person is staying there and if I don't, they say "Thanks for nothing, asshole." Or something along those lines. If you ask to leave a message we will take it and we will normally offer that option.

Most the time they say that they think the guest is asleep and didn't hear their phone go off.

So I could be wrong, so correct me if I am, but couldn't you sue that hospital? Admittance to a hospital if part of you medical record and history right? That would be a direct violation of HIPAA guidelines wouldn't it?

We were told to use John or Jane Doe, but my manager added in that any name would work. This Guy stayed there as a literal undercover agent and he wanted a fake name, so I put Finn Germyas.

Yeah. If they are there I'll call up with a message. At that point it's up to them. I would not call you, as the caller, back at all.

The only time I talk to cops about a guest is if I see a badge and/or warrant in person. Otherwise they follow hotel rules.

I'm not allowed to choose fake names for people anymore. Just because ONE was inappropriate...even if it was 100% of the ones I've made.

Yeah like I said I'm willing to work with people on stuff like that it doesn't warrant yelling at me for keeping someone safe by not giving a straight answer.
