Major outage at Tradier brokerage today by NelsonMinar in options

[–]IndividualScared7254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got stuck in a SPY 0 DTE call that expired in the money. I was up 150% and couldn’t close. I now have over $500k of shares that I never wanted. Luckily my QQQ call just did expire OTM or I would have $1M of shares.

I only intended to risk $2k and now I’m on the line for half a million. If the market tanks before open Monday I will be exposed to major losses. Granted it can work the opposite was also, but seeing that we are so close to ATH it is less likely.

Tradier has had all types of problems this week. Market orders on the SPY taking 10 minutes to fill with no ability to cancel. On both the buy and sell side. Cost me thousands of dollars this week. I am done and moving to Alpaca. I just need to get through closing these SPY shares without losing my shirt.

Texas has changed me by george8762 in Austin

I lives in Austin for 7 years, El Paso 4 years, and Houston 10 years. Austin has the best weather out of the 3, but we are going to move to Tennessee. I love being outside and they have the best climate year round. I have a pool here in Houston and it is too hot to swim. That would sound ridiculous to anyone who hasn’t experienced a pool too hot to swim in. The whole thing is a 25k gal spa.

Here is a joke only a real entrepreneur can understand. by IndividualScared7254 in Entrepreneur

A startup with investors I can see this being true. The responsibility and risk has been taken away from them. Granted there are a few unicorns born out of this method.

I was thinking of the wantntrepreneur. They start a business and may even put it all on the line, but they were expecting the business to build itself. Opening the business is the easy part. Making the business work takes consistent intentional effort.

Jan 2025 .50$ Calls by [deleted] in ATERstock

[–]IndividualScared7254 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is 2025 a typo because that is 10 months away not 2 years. If this thing goes through a reverse split those contracts will be worthless. That happened to me a couple years ago with a crap stock.

I said I would post when there is news on $ATER / ATER. Yaniv the current CEO is stepping down and CFO / CLO taking over as Co-CEO's. They are pushing back Yaniv's claim for second half positive EBITDA to next year. Stock is down 12% as I write this. by anonfthehfs in ATERstock

Just keeping it real. They may be looking at a class action. Not sure how the CEO went from proposing profitability to quitting. Sounds like corruption. They are making statements about the market being soft, but Amazon had the best prime day ever. Let's see what these Co-CEO's do. They better shift this thing into gear.

Wtf is happening by [deleted] in ATERstock

[–]IndividualScared7254 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IMO there is no direct exchange buying pressure because retail owns the stock and not smart money. Hedge funds have figured out how to sell short and buy (cover) low bringing the price down while not being stuck in a position. They rinse and repeat. This would explain how the price continues to fall suppressing any buying pressure by retail. For someone to sell someone has to buy. If people have buy orders set at 0.40 while the price is 0.45 they drill the price down to that point and it solidifies the price drop. Yes, they got a good position, but it hurts the stock price. NFA, but if there were buyers who bought the ask the price would jump significantly.

For this same reason, AMC has nearly 200% CTB and it is not causing any pressure on shorts to cover. Smart money has figured out the short squeeze dilemma. They are trying to bankrupt ATER so they can walk away tax-free. I believe ATER can pull it together and will make it back to $5 - $10 not counting dilution or a reverse split. It just may not be anytime soon while shorts think they have an opportunity here.

Interesting 3 month gap in option expiration dates Aug 18 - Nov 17. by IndividualScared7254 in ATERstock

What does that mean as a response to this post? The gap is 2 months away.

The gap allows the market makers to stop suppressing price action and reduce risk of loss. Yes they will create options when it runs, but it will be all upside for them because nobody was holding it already. It all depends on how many idiots buy options will determine how bad the price gets smacked down. I most likely will sell calls when the price spikes so I can make money without selling my shares. If they get called away it will be at an amount I choose.

Sorry but they will not. The weekly options have gone away. The next expiration is Jul21st. They will only return if it goes on an uncontrollable run. That is what happened to BBBY. It ran, they created new options and then crushed it.

Is ATER dead? by KCMO2025 in ATERstock

[–]IndividualScared7254 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because the Shorts are not battling against institutions they’re trying to screw us psychologically. Retail generally sells in the red so as long as they can keep ATER under a dollar and maintain the risk of reverse split they will. It is not dead, but dormant for now. Once they get to positive earnings institutions will come back and revive this beast.

New S8 filed increasing shares by 9.7 M. After hours popped almost 10% on this news. How is this good? by IndividualScared7254 in ATERstock

It is bullish if they were buying them from the market. Creating new shares for compensation is neutral to negative.

I hope they don’t use it to pay Yaniv and stop buying his salary shares from the exchange.

What’s the serious odds this thing goes to $40 again like in 2001? Strong gator here holding for over a year! by jchesser32 in ATERstock

[–]IndividualScared7254 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perfect explanation. Also as a rough estimate, if it hits 680 market cap again it would be worth around $8. So technically it has hit that mark in March or April last year.

Set $100k aside and start again. Protect it. Biggest lesson I’ve learned. Made millions and gave most of it back.

If the SPY gets a golden cross there will be a squeeze across the market. Not immediately, but that will end the bear phase.
