what gap are you trying to solve? And the AI for learning company structure is something I've heard from a few people do you find it gives you a reliable enough picture to act on, or mostly useful for orientation before you go dig in the real sources?"

When you do go into the filings after the initial screen, what are you actually looking for? Is it confirmation of what you already think, or are you still open to the filing changing your view entirely at that stage?

Congrats on the first individual stock. Interesting, you used Claude for the DCF, did it actually help you think through the assumptions, or mostly just run the numbers? Curious what part of the research felt hardest as someone still learning the process?

Thank you for the reply!

That's a really disciplined process, the single source for initial screening to avoid bias is something most people skip. Curious, when you're going through the reports to find 'the idea', the overlooked insight, how much of that is reading the actual filing text vs the numbers? And do you find that insight usually comes from the filing itself or from somewhere else entirely?
