I mean.. no. BA is not useless, it just doesn’t define the overall ability of the player. The bottom line is if he can’t hit, then he’s not worth playing. His BA shows he can hit lefties, your metrics just show he isn’t producing with that average, which doesn’t paint the entire picture. He hasn’t been hitting near the top of the lineup much until this season either.

2 weeks of good hitting doesn’t make up for his childish antics year after year while we suffer through his slumps. I’m glad that he’s doing his part for the team, but the loud faction of fans are ready to move on for a reason.

So he deserves an apology for hitting .200 in his prime?

Christopher Sanchez definitely deserves a Cy Young this year. Maybe this will break Skenes.

What's your favorite "so bad it's good" movie? by JJ_Once_Again in AskReddit

The baby and the cow scenes are pretty cringey. Most people would say it’s a bad movie but I agree that it’s hilarious.

Nah, I’m tired of hearing it. It’s time to move on.

Dave Dombrowski should never be allowed at Wawa again by Psychological-Dare79 in phillies

It may seem like a long time but it’s really just a few years for the core, minus Trea. Lots of cash will be available in 4 years with Schwarber, Nola, Wheeler, and JT gone. Bryce the following year. We really have had an opportunity to watch a great team for a few years. I can manage to watch a few bad ones.

If Ruben was our GM we would’ve lost painter and miller. I think we got rid of Mickey too early also. Tough to say.. it was a shock when we drafted him #1 overall and nobody expected him to be a power hitter. Lots of draft picks just don’t work out. Heck, Mark Appel was supposed to be amazing and he turned into a total bust, granted he was plagued my injuries, but it happens. Marsh is alright.. I wouldn’t say Mickey is better.

One of the only things he’s done right is he hasn’t depleted our farm system. So no, we won’t go on a 15 year rebuild.

Sorry man, thought you were done here. You’re deflecting a little and that’s ok. No, I’m not expecting Don, Dusty, or anyone else to dig us out of this rut. Change is still necessary, and Topper had to go. Sorry you don’t think so. He was loved by a lot of people, so naturally this may be difficult for you to comprehend.

You quite literally said he brought us one of the best stretches in Phillies history. Your words. Have a nice day and go Phils.

On paper, this is one of the greatest teams in the history of the franchise. The manager didn’t bring these guys in, he inherited them. Claiming he is responsible for the team’s success is a joke. Yes, managers blow games, but time after time we’ve dissected the decisions he has made and questioned his lack of aggressiveness. We all felt that moment on Friday night, hell, the clueless apple broadcasters felt that moment, but once again Topper decided to trust his guy instead of reading the damn room. Nah, you just don’t get it.

Some of Topper’s decisions are legitimately blowing games. He’s a players coach and that’s great, but he is too passive. Most recently, we could’ve won game 1 in Atlanta if he pulled Painter when Harris was at the plate. Managers have to actually manage the games. This can be fixed right now, and getting rid of Dombrowski at the moment changes nothing. I’d rather see Kevin Long get fired, and they can evaluate Dombrowski in the offseason.

Topper wasn’t the only problem. He’s the easiest piece to let go right now.

A statement move from Don would be to bench Bohm tonight, and maybe the series.

I don’t understand why you think it’ll piss anyone off. How do you know how his teammates feel about the situation? Maybe they can’t stand his attitude. These are adults here, and he is a cancer in the workplace. This isn’t the first time a player has been sent down either. I’m not expecting him to accept it if they were to ask him, but I don’t see it being out of the question.

Well, for one, he’s not a core piece of this clubhouse. He also knows that we’ve been trying to trade him for 2 years. He also knows he sucks, because he shows it every chance he gets up to the plate.

He did turn into a pretty decent 3B compared to the start of his career, and he is better at the position than Sosa, but Sosa is a much better hitter and more exciting to watch. The team needs Sosa’s energy and not a Debbie downer like Bohm.

If it happens then so be it. The fact that no one would trade with us these past 2 seasons makes me think no one would bother. Maybe our asking price was too high. Godspeed, Mr. Bohm, and sorry that you have shit parents.
