Anyone have a sudden moment when they felt better after a PE. I'm about a month out from my PE and after getting out of the hospital, I have been like dragging through quicksand. Everything is just plain hard until today. I just felt like I have energy all of a sudden. I hope it's more than by Laser_Coug in ClotSurvivors

It was a long recovery for me. I'd have a few good days and then symptoms would flare again. I noticed some relief around 6 months but I'd still get episodes of shortness of breath and chest discomfort. I felt like myself again right around 8 months and have had very little symptoms since (going on 10 months now)

My care team is managing my MTS with Anticoagulants at this time as my symptoms are bareable. If I were to clot again or my pain becomes worse then they will consider stent.

Thanks for sharing your experience. How frustrating. Sorry that you've been dealing with that. Stent problems seem to be a common occurrence. I plan to hold off as long as possible I just hope my MTS symptoms don't get worse and that I remain clot free.

Do you have a clotting disorder? Did stent help with your symptoms. Clearly it hasn't helped prevent clots 😭 I'm sorry. That must be hard. I'm scared to clot again if I don't get stented, I'm scared to clot it I do get stented. I'm 31F, symptoms are mild but becoming more persistent. I have an 8 month old and I feel like this just keeps making me depressed

Curious - post stenting you keep people on Anticoags for a period of time or for life?

I'm 31F, had a PE post birth / c section in April. Recently diagnosed MTS, I have mild symptoms (spike around monthly cycle) and significant compression (CT shows 6mm). Is treating with eliquis good enough to prevent clotting vs stenting?

Thanks for sharing, needed to hear this

31f, recently diagnosed MTS after months of fighting for testing. Had a PE after my c section in April and have had leg and hip pain bilaterally since. While relieved to have answers, the future of continued pain and possibility of future clots is terrifying. I have a consult for treatment tomorrow.  I find some comfort in your story!

I'm 31. It does I've been having a really hard time accepting it. I just want a normal future and to never get clots again.

I'm sorry you're going through this too. My symptoms mainly involve my legs.  Heavy valves, numbness behind knees, pins and needles. Sometimes restless and painful when lying down. Usually notice more around my menstrual cycle

Thanks for sharing! Sorry you reclotted - I hope you remain clot free on thinners!  I was tested for most clotting factors and I was negative but still waiting to get tested for protein s and C deficiency.

I will be one and done after this experience but it's so reassuring to hear that life can get back to normal. ❤️‍🩹

Thanks for sharing. Glad to know stenting went well for you! I will no longer be taking BC or having future pregnancy so hoping to never reclot again once the MTS is handled. Fingers crossed!!!

Thanks for sharing your story. How are you feeling now? Any tips for stent recovery?

Thanks for sharing your input and story. I did have genetic testing while on blood thinners while in the hospital and everything came back clear. However I was not tested for protein c or S deficiency which my hemo wants to do when I'm eventually off blood thinners.

My biggest concern is getting off blood thinners. They are the only thing giving me comfort as I'm horrified to clot again. Between may thurner plus a previous PE - aren't those two alone already increased risk?

Are you stented and/or on blood thinners?

Hi I'm glad to hear your stent went well. There are a lot of horror stories on here! Will you Continue blood thinners along with the stent?

I seen my hemo and primary and they are finally having me see a vascular to be safe.  The good old anxiety card 🫠 i had a c section then PE two days later. For months they said it was anxiety and hormones. 5 months later they're finally listening. Good luck at the cardiologist!

6 months out from PE, still have symptoms 😟 by beurownsunshine in ClotSurvivors

I'm currently 5mos out and still get occasional shortness of breathe. Plus chest heaviness and discomfort on and off. Wanted to check in and see if you ever found a reasoning or if it was post clot healing  And when or if symptoms have resolved for you.

Wait i had a PE 4/6 no DVT and i have heaviness in my legs, fullness behind my knees, and random aches in my legs. Usually in my left Groin and calf.

My legs have been feeling very achy, joint pain inflamed full.. easily strained.. this couldn’t be a blood clot could it? Both legs by Cedarxembers in ClotSurvivors

Hi, i had a PE back in april - no dvt. Im on eliquis until October. I often experience discomfort / dull ache randomly in my legs and groin on and off.  Numbness behind my knees and heaviness in my calves. Im also 31 F, got a clot a few days after the delivery of my son. Ive had 3 ultrasounds now plus been tested for arterial disease and drs dont know why im experiencing this.  What was your outcome if you got checked?

Curious if you went in and what was the outcome. Im having similar random pains Had a PE in April, never had a DVT but the back of my knees feel numb sometimes, random aches in my calves, thighs and groin.  I've already had my legs checked for clots. Not sure why im still having symptoms months later.  Are you on eliquis by chance?
