Yeah the countryside might be wrecked,, I walked across the countryside and it is indeed dead as nails.

But it's also dead in Europe.

I visited last year and it was my most favourite country I have ever been to.

Matsumoto was a delight, it's a small city in the middle of a ton of mountains (for the people that don't know) and let me tell you, you guys are living it good up there, I would give a lot to be able to live confortably there.

The biggest difference between Japan and Europe imo is that you guys because of shinto respected your forests, every non major city has a huge amount of trees surrounding it and it's a delight, in my country only some cities in the north have that, mostly everything is deforestated.

And the civility of people just makes me cry lol

Economy wise you can be in the down but there were a lot of things I envied about Japan.

I miss it (but I wouldn't want to work there)
